Goalless draw between Alkmaar and Bremen.
1st half was pretty well-played by Werder. Creating chances based on a solid defense. But the 2nd half was a copy of the Bundesliga match vs Cottbus, no creativity and terrible passing mistakes. But what you could cleary see is that Werder has the better quality by far, so if Werder plays normally, we'll have no problems in the 2nd leg.

Even though it was blatantly obvious on camera, that the English were the trouble-makers! :D

...and that's how it happened. Total ownage, 100% in 1on1 by Werder's central defender Petri Pasanen who was playing against Shota Arveladze. No real chances at all for Alkmaar, even the shot could hardly be called a real chance.

Two goals by Klose after more than 1000 goalless minutes for him :touched:.
Borowski scores after a long injury break and beautiful attacking football reminding every watcher of the first half of this season.

so its Espanyol vs Werder Bremen and Osasuna vs Sevilla. The same situation as the champions league, but here we have 3 spanish and one german, rather than 3 english and one italian

i thought he didn't finish 1000, as he was on 875 before the game.
but its great to see him score, just proves that players like him (and in our case Trezi) will always bounce back.

Espanyol had all the luck in the world, benfica hit the left post at least 3 times and once hit upright.

no surprises in the other two games really .

Wow, congrats to Werder and Altagsheld. I´m beginning to sympathise with this club and I´m very glad they went through the semi´s especially cause they have some players that I really admire. I´m very glad for Klose breaking up his goal drought as I still didn´t forget him and I still want him in Juve. Great striker. :)
