Thats the 'culture' among German Bundesliga fans if you can call it.Most of them(from what i've seen/heard) support all German clubs in Europe.

And seriously apart from Schalke-Dortmund i cant think of another rivalry that are as big as those in Serie A hence probably why it might become much easier for those fans to support rival clubs in Europe perhaps.
