I don't call Barca lucky for scoring a last minute goal, even more since it was against 10 men.
"People always call it luck when you've acted more sensibly than they have"
Barcelona faught till the end and they got the reward.

But the thing is, the ref influenced the game BEFORE and AFTER Barca's equaliser. It was a daylight robbery. Chelsea were robbed by the ref. I don't call that luck, i call that cheating.
The better team was often fairly punished with a last minute goal and people called it injustice or bad luck. This time the better team was punished by the referee and i call it cheating.
Barcelona is in the final because someone cheated, so i'll call this current team of Barcelona - Barcheatlona. I don't care if the Barca fans here take it personally.
So you basically have invented a new definition for cheating? The ref was terrible (and made terrible calls against both teams), and now it's Barcelona's fault? That's silly... and most will think that's what you're saying.

I'm not a Barcelona fan, but that's a pretty ridiculous statement. I was always disgusted by of the people who said Juventus cheated our way to some of our titles - those players worked their ass off. Especially since they've come up with basically no legitimate proof of matchfixing.

So if you're saying it's Barcheatlona, than maybe we should be calling Chelsea "Cheatsea".

After all, I didn't think that Chiellini should have been sent off in leg 2, I did think that Henry was fouled in the box during the first leg, and clearly Abidal shouldn't have been sent off.

Damn that Cheatsea - they've clearly found a way to manipulate the system... bastards. :spliff:

Fuck... late for work...

You can call Chelsea however you want. I don't give a damn.
Just don't take it personally (not only you, everyone here) when someone talks trash about Barca, and i'm ok with it.

Yes it was. Give me 10 minutes to show you.
I can't save the pics right now so i'll just give you the video and watch it carefully.

At the end Anelka does trip over his feet. But if you freeze it at 0:23 you'll see first how Abidal tries to stop him with his hand and then you'll see the feet contact. Abidal couldn't catch him so he did everything in order Anelka to lose the balance.

It was all from behind while Anelka was 1 on 1 with the goalkeeper. It was so obvious that even that particular referee had no other choice but to give red card to Abidal. Red card by the book.

you've made it your personal mission to bring as much negative light to Barca as you can.
Even if it's true i don't see where is the problem? People do it all the time with Manchester United or the entire EPL, for example.

Even going as far as picking on some members here.
I apologize if i did that. But i don't know when did i do that. Which members are you talking about?

The more I see it the more I'm convinced it wasn't a red card... actually it wasn't even a foul... But I guess thats just me...

Lets put it this way:

What was your first impression when Anelka fell? It was happening so fast, Abidal was right behind him. I believe a huge majority thought it was a foul from behind.
Even after replays and slow motion you and i can't agree if there was contact or not. You can imagine how tough was it to notice it live. It looked like a clear foul which deserves a red card since it was from behind. The referee was convinced that it was a foul because no way he was going to give a red card.

This can be compared with the penalty call on Malouda. If you watch the replays you'll see that Alves is inside his box while Malouda has one foot inside the box and the other exactly on the line. Replays show it was a penalty. It was a foul for sure so there was no way not to give a foul. But at the moment of the foul, without watching the replays, it was impossible to say if it was inside or outside the box (the line means inside, btw). I don't blame the referee for that mistake because it was a tough call.

But Pique's handball....
Everyone saw it when it happened. No-one needed replays to see it. The ref just waved play on. He knew it was a clear penalty, but he said play on.

My last post on this about the mistakes that took place on that match. I am absolutely sure that Chelsea were robbed. Was it simply very poor refereeing or was there a purpose i can't claim, but the fact stands that Chelsea was the team that suffered from the ref and i couldn't keep calm when people said how the ref was equally unfair to both sides.

Put 'em up, put 'em up!

seriously (HeeHaw) Chelsea are out, get over it and move on.

A final of attacking football is to be welcomed. Especially if Juventus are not taking part.

Forza Beautiful Football.

No one can deny referee's call favored Barcelona, was it on purpose? that's totally a different discussion.

So from saying that Zlatan fails to perform in big games, you change it to "against English opposition". How well did Messi do last night, any worse than Zlatan's 2nd performance against United?
You said that Messi never scored against English opposition. I responded by pointing out that unlike Zlatan he has performed very well against English teams. He did very well against Man Utd last year and in the two games against Chelsea in 2006.

You brought up English opposition not me.

You can call them whatever you want, did i ever ask you not to call them anything?

Personally i prefer Jack's Barchokelona though, that one was good :D

Alen you have lost the ability to be neutral in this thread a long time ago. Now you've lost the ability to read too. Did you not see the word "almost" there? Did you not think that it was put intentionally?

I assumed we all watch Italian football here, so my assumption was that when i said almost, everybody will understand why the word "almost" was there. Well it looks like i have to spell it out for you after all. Other than the Sweden- Italy game in Euro 2004 and the Inter- Milan game of 2006-2007 most Nesta - Zlatan duels ended up for the former.

Did anybody say that?

I look forward to seeing Man Utd's 'attacking' football in the final.

They will just sit deep and tear Barca a new one on the break.
