Isn't it quite telling that every time he's been poor in the CL finals, his team has been poor and kicked out? Inter have nothing but Zlatan in terms of creativity, as opposed to Barca who can survive even when Messi is shut down.

The player's been very good against Italy, Spain, Milan (at least 3 times), Bayern, Real etc in important games, and he's also decided very important games against lesser sides like Parma and Hungary. That should be enough to show that he is capable of performing when it matters. How many players show up in every single big game they play? Messi hasn't been much better and yet that is never mentioned.

Ronaldo was completely invisible twice against Sweden this season. Zlatan played the first game and was definitely the better player. Do you reckon anyone but Swedish supporters will point this out?
That is true, which is why they're always out early. Because Zlatan does not turn up.

When was Zlatan good against Spain? I sure hope you aren't talking about the Euro's. Because he only played one half, in which he did nothing other than score that goal(a brilliant goal i must admit). He's been good against Bayern and Real in the CL. Both games when he was at Juve. He was terrible against both Arsenal and Liverpool, average against Man Utd. Terrible in almost all games against Juve, played bad in most games against Milan other than a couple, he was always shut out. I think its very well documented the guy doesn't turn up when the going gets tough.

Messi on the other hand was shut down by Chelsea this year and by Liverpool 2 years ago, by Brazil in the Copa final as well. But he has always been a beast against Real, he destroyed Chelsea in 2006, he was very good against Man Utd last year, he performed very well in most big games actually.

No comparing the two imo. You can argue for Ronaldo, but Zlatan? definitely not.

I take it you agree with me that Zlatan is a choker, you just dont want to admit it? :D
On the contrary, i don't agree because i don't accept the term choker. You can talk about having hard time to handle the presure, but that's not the case anymore with Ronaldo (and it was the case when he was younger), just like it's not the case with Ibrahimovic. It usually happens to young players.

I feel that Ibrahimovic had a very good game at Old Trafford against Manchester and all that was missing was a goal. While in Inter he's also playing very well lately, even against the better teams because he's more of a team worker and a man of moment (even when he was well guarded against Milan and Juve he managed to make the decisive assists that won them, or almost won the matches for Inter). When he was in Juve he was always very good against Inter for example, and he was regularly scoring or assisting. He is always scoring against Roma, even when he was in Juve and he regularly does that in Inter.

It just that these mega stars are very well guarded, especially for Messi and Zlatan it's tougher to find spaces (it's easier for guys like Kaka and Ronaldo who play deeper) because they play closer to the goal and the better teams with great defenses pay 100% attention from minute 1 till the end on them. They double them and sometimes even 3 players are around them.
If Messi is shut down by Manchester in the final i will not call him a choker, because i will know why he didn't perform his magic.
I care more about the performances of the individual through out the season than on matches like Chelsea-Barcelona or Inter-Manchester, where the team play comes before the individual performance.

I don't like the term choker either, and i dont use it much myself, but i'm surprised here, Zlatan for me has always dissapointed when the going gets tough especially in the CL, i think you can make a case for him in the Serie A, although i wont agree but not in the CL imo. He has always dissapointed in the knockout stages and is easier to shut down than Messi and Ronaldo in these games.

It's the constant idiocy and hypocrisy in this thread, and others, that I mind.
It's rich coming from you. You wish once a week that all Manchester players die in a plane crash. Only 10 minutes ago you wished Molinaro's injury was a career ending one. You keep wishing our own coach dies a painful death, and you call hypocrites people who talk trash about Barcelona.

I'm fully aware of that.

I was 8 when I last saw my team win a trophy and it is almost a decade since the last cup final appearance.
