Despite their glory hunting fans, I can't help but admire their style of play, their efficiency, their never say die attitude, and their flexibility.

Ferguson has built a truly complete 11 with a good bench.

if there is one team I want us to be like in terms of play and tactics, it ManU

ironic though.

he's got a great team and bench, unfortunately few teams have to balls or brains to go at their weaknesses. when a decent team does that, they're definitely beatable. unfortunately, Guardiola is no Benitez ;)

if you've watched liverpool's evolution since he arrived, you'd have a higher opinion of him. he isn't perfect of course, and he could learn some things from fergie, but he's developing liverpool in to a team that actually is as good as chelsea, manu, and arsenal, and it's been awhile since we've actually had a team that strong

It's rich coming from you. You wish once a week that all Manchester players die in a plane crash. Only 10 minutes ago you wished Molinaro's injury was a career ending one. You keep wishing our own coach dies a painful death, and you call hypocrites people who talk trash about Barcelona.

Still, 5 years is more than enough time to finally win the league. Liverpool won the CL in 2005, played the final in 2007. You can't say that they didn't have a great team already. If the team is evolving as well as you say, they should have been more competetive in the league. This is Liverpool's best domestic season in a while and yet realistically they should have been 3rd placed and they owe the second place to that clown leading Chelsea until February. When was the last time when 5-6 rounds before the end Liverpool had a realistic chance to win the league?

If you simplify it you could say that in Benitez's time Liverpool evolved from a team that couldn't win the league to a team that can't win the league. For 3 years now they can't win any trophy at all, so it's not only the league.
I don't see Benitez offering more than what he gave so far.

we won the CL because we had luck, worked very hard, and have a very tactical manager. look at the lineups-we did NOT have a great team at all, that team sucked, let's face it :D also, you clearly haven't watch Liverpool play enough. We're only now getting to the point where the team itself is good enough to win matches without being elaborately prepared by Benitez. we're finally evolving from a team that has to focus on defence first because of it's weaknesses in to a team that can attack. of course, that process isn't over, as shown by the hideous mistakes made against arsenal and chelsea recently. unlike Fergusen, we haven't had decades to build our team (check out how long it took him to win the league, and that was when Liverpool was already in decline) and we can't go and buy up all the best players in the world like chelsea can and did. we have had to slowly build up the quality of the squad while attempting to remain competitive with two of the most powerful clubs in the world, Chelsea and Manu. Despite Liverpool's history, we were VERY far behind manu and arsenal when Benitez arrived, and considering that Manu and Chelsea have raised the bar even higher since then, it does say a lot that Liverpool have managed to get closer

Now that's good question. :D

But he should have stayed with Parma in first place, look where they are without him.

I have no interest in seeing goals for the sake of goals.

If the attackers do nothing good, the game should end 0-0.

I hate games like Liverpool 4-4 Arsenal because everyone says they were great, but they are just littered with mistakes.

High scoring games are ok if they are good goals, but no one wants to see constant screw ups where goals are handing out like it's Christmas morning.

haha funny thing is, which really points out the ignorance of australian sport journalists and such with football, they were actually saying down here that that 4-4 draw was one of the best epl games they have ever seen. that it may be the best game in the history of the epl.

i couldnt help myself from bursting out into laughter. that game was defensive mistake after mistake.

i agree with aaron i would rather see a quality high scoring game where individual brilliance or fantastice team play gets the goals.

i would take a quality 2-1 over a bullshit 4-4
