If he has defensive capabilities, he certainly didn't use them in the second half.
If he has presence in midfield, he certainly was totally absent in the second half.
He has absolutely zero defensive capabilities.
He almost always makes his presence in midfield felt, with this i agree with Andy. He does make the play go more smoothly.
This being said, i'm still convinced that a player like him would not offer much to THIS Juve we have. More than what our CMs offer, but not much at all, because Molinaro, Grygera and Marchionni would have fucked up everything up front, while the defense was going to be exposed much more.
We need at least 3-4 new players before we decide to buy a player like Xabi. And if we splashed 20m eur (which we didn't even have) we were going to be in a very similar position that we are now, but with much less money for the 2009 summer mercato.
Before someone brings Poulsen into this....yes, i see that transfer as another mistake. We didn't need him.
