I haven't made any posts about Gerrard.

Now that the door is open. Gerrard is ten times the captain Lamps could ever be. Hell Gareth Barry is a better captain. The Neville brothers are better captain material. Lampard is good, but he isn't a game changer, he doesn't motivate, and he isn't even looked to for leadership from his own teammates.
What does that even mean? Why would he need to motivate other players around him? That's a manager job. The captain is just someone that is allowed to talk to the referee on behalf of his players. Captains are just normal players not any different from the other 10 they are playing with.

Seriously this is a nothing factor that you're bringing up. It has nothing to do with anything.

no thats true in the case of chelsea where u have terry hoggin the bloody refree!!!!!! in a real team a captain is the source of motivation on the pitch!! he gets instructions from the manager andis responsible to deliver them to his other team mates.

So the manager doesn't talk to the players, he just talks to one person who then has to go and tell the group? Do the captains also conduct training whilst the manager just stays at home with the wife and kids? Does the captain sign the players and tell them what roles they should be playing?

LOL

If a football player isn't motivated enough on his own he shouldn't be playing football at a high level. Just because you see somebody running around after the ball it shouldn't make you want to as well, you should have the desrire all ready. I guess we're lucky at Chelsea that all the players are able to lead themselves, maybe teams like Juve and Liverpool need to see somebody run around before they decide to join in.

I don't blame John Terry for harrassing referee's considering the amount of bad decisions that are given against us, any sane man would lose his mind. Let's just say he deals with it a lot better than I would.

Dude, did you just sign up here to argue?
No, not really.

I've liked Juventus for a while and was glad we drew them in the CL. Thought the first leg was a good/fair game so wanted to post a bit before the second leg.
