Lampard is much smarter, better passer and a lot more disciplined. He can play centre midfield or attacking midfield.

Gerrard can't play central midfield. His own club manager doesn't trust him because he will leave gaps and chase the ball like a headless chicken so they play him on the right or behind a striker so he isn't a liability.

Seriously just watch him play sometimes and not the highlights.

like i said before, alot of the epl's dominance in the cl is down to the fact the last 5 years the same 4 have qualified for the cl in comparison to spain and in particular Italy's entrances. I mean if the epl is as strong as they claim i see no dominance from them in the uefa cup.

This is actually a good point. If the top 4 is always same, one would think the other good clubs in epl would be interested to seriously challenge uefa cup.
And yes even if the cup already has a pretty poor reputation, in the end it is still a cup and there is also money.
But i guess thats the problem, there is more money in epl then in uefa cup. So they dont bother much.
Middlesbr are the only team in recent years who come in mind from england to do something in uefa cup.

until recently he's had MUCH better forwards to play with. Gerrard can dribble, and personally I find it to be a good trait for an attacking midfielder

Now that the door is open. Gerrard is ten times the captain Lamps could ever be. Hell Gareth Barry is a better captain. The Neville brothers are better captain material. Lampard is good, but he isn't a game changer, he doesn't motivate, and he isn't even looked to for leadership from his own teammates.
