Amauri is more effective based on the fact that he plays football to win, not to show off flashy moves and showboat against opponents.

I'm not saying Amauri is better than Zlatan, because he probably isn't, but he is far more effective as a player.

And Zlatan as well plays football to win.

True that, he was selfish at first (Selfish in a way he was interested to show off his skills and touches) opposite of what Iaquinta does, not that I defend that, but these "shows" sadly brings attention and makes his name big, unlike what happened with Iaquinta, he is a true fighter, a true team player, his brain doesn't think of scoring goals or making nice moves only, but he helps the team everywhere, I admire him but see what happened, he ended up in bench, because he never got the needed attention or scored goals (only goals matters for managers I am afraid).

Zlatan after leaving us, has matured, he is less selfish and is focusing more on the team, he is still not complete yet, I believe he has bigger potential than this.

Which is why I'm pleased to see that he's succeeded elsewhere. Oddly enough, Inter seemed to have just the right environment for him. And now with Mourinho who shall was say "understands confidence" ( ) it seems like a good place to be.

Agree on Iaquinta to a point. I guess you're right he doesn't play much because he doesn't score much, personally I wish he would get more chances. But this is also the reason we bought him, his will to run. Lippi's been using him that way too. And it's not really a sensible comparison to say Zlatan does a lot of tricks to get noticed, maybe if Iaq did the same he would too, they're quite different after all.

You're trying to throw the Barzagli argument back at me but I don't think people would ever watch a player like Barzagli like someone would Amauri.

I didn't mean Zlatan doesn't play to win, I meant he prioritizes showing off and making fools out of defenders a lot more than playing for the objective in hand, which is winning. Amauri, on the other hand, knows when it's appropriate to show off his skills but unlike Ibra, he recognizes he's playing for a team and not for himself.
