Btw, Seven, that American guy with an African surname was really dominant in the box.
But i was impressed by another guy who'll, without any doubt, be a great player in the future (unless he's old already :) )
Felliani or Fellaini
Onyewu you mean? Fellaini is still quite young and has been tipped by some of Europe's best coaches as quite the prospect. But we shall see.

I checked and he's 20
No need to wait and see. The boy will be great one day.
Belgium will have a very good squad in two, three years time. I've been saying it for over 3 years (and yeah, everybody laughed at me three years ago) and slowly but surely it's becoming a reality.

So how you do figure that the team we'll have in two or three years played you guys last year?

But make no mistake, we're not too great right now.

Manchester United
Juventus
Bordeaux
Atlético Madrid
the way it stands i think this could quite possible be the group from hell for us

Lyon
Juventus
Steaua
Bate Borisov
would almost certainly be the easiest passage we could get

I don't know, I know Armenia is super bad, the way we play has nothing to do with the world of football.

Turkey is gonna kick our asses very bad, not much left :scared:

I would always support Juventus as long as they were truly Juventus. Liverpool haven't been Liverpool for well over 4 years now. They're a brand. More than any other European team.

The tragedy of course is that it is Liverpool. I mean Liverpool. And why did Benitez pick Liverpool? Of all the clubs he could have chosen, why did he want to destroy the one team that represents being a fan?
Liverpool are not more of a brand than Chelsea or Manchester, hell they aren't more of a brand than Real Madrid or Barcelona. You won't believe the the number of blue jerseys I've seen in the last few weeks. You're being over the top on that one. Though I agree ownership has been pushing us to become a Manchester or Real.

If things go bad enough, Rafa probably won't make it past Boxing Day. The question is since Rafa's tenure is probably at the end after this season at the latest. Who's the next coach? Sammy Lee is our assistant and if he takes over, you might as well regulate us now. I really can't think of anyone right now.

Truth is we should have signed Stewart Downing or David Bentley. Hell probably should have dropped the 20 mil on Barry. Good teams only really need two creators. Juve has Camo and Del Piero. Milan Kaka and Seedorf. Barca Messi and Xavi. Hell Man U only has Ronaldo and Evra. Gerrard and Torres should be enough for us, with proper support.

If we actually sign Riera as rumored I won't be pleased at all.

You think Standard will hold onto those guys or start the bidding at the end of the season?

Enton, why would you blame Rafa of all ppl?
The guy is a genius, just because of the transfers?
Well so far in the seasons he's been here he's gotten it right once. That was the 05 CL championship. It's been 18 years since we won a title and our team really never seems to get better. It just stay 4th place and that's kind of annoying. I understand that transfer policy isn't entirely his fault and neither is the form of the players or the attitude on the pitch. He's had a substantial amount of time to bring Pool even with the big guns of the EPL and it hasn't happened. After a while it's time to move on. That said, I'm still a fan of Rafa and I think he's a good coach, but we need results.

And yes I do blame Rafa for the Standard games. 2 leg matches are his specialty, if he can't pull it off in regular time against a team from Belgium, how is he going to do against the Chelseas and Madrids of the world?

any players in Galatasaray worth looking at? Arda is pretty special, anybody else though? They took a pretty heavy blow by not getting to the CL this year, maybe there will be some sort of clear-out...

two 0-0 bores followed by a win in penalty kicks where pool's golie doesn't stay on his line ;)
