to be honest i dont remember the last time del piero dived or at least to the consistency to gerrard anyways
I never said he was a serial diver. I said that all players have cheated in some form or shape during their careers. One shouldn't make them look like angels.

That is debatable.

To me, if there is contact made, the player is entitled to go down.
which is what gerrard did against Athletico. The contact was there, but it was nowhere near enough for it to be called a penalty.

Well considering most cases of diving stem from mild contact made by a defender, I think you may have to consider such a move diving. Otherwise, many of football's champion divers would merely be exaggerators.
exactly. unless you want to call C.Ronaldo an exaggerator not a diver, most of his dives involve minimal contact afterall.

Create multiple accounts.
He already did.

Not really.

It is very difficult to make one statement which covers every possible aspect of diving/exaggerating.

Each case has to be treated on it's own merits.

So back to DP's case then. Was that contact enough for him to fall down?? in other words would you have given a penalty??

bear in mind Inler did not touch the ball, so if there was contact, it should be a penalty.

It was a penalty.

Del Piero over reating to it shouldn't disguise the fact that Inler caught him and didn't get the ball.

I saw it again and again and again, and i'm yet to be convinced that that was a penalty. He started falling before he even made minimal contact with Inler. Imo it was blatant diving.
