Im thinking not for the same reasons you come onto the Prem thread to slag it off.

Juve, Napoli and Udinese aside, Serie A is terrible, truelly car crash TV.
Well obviously not, or we wouldn't be having this conversation. I just wonder what you expect on a Juventus forum. If I go onto an Everton forum shall I expect a bunch of guys with opinions any different to those in your last line? I doubt there will be many.

As an Englishman who has watched the PL since its inception, I think I'm entitled to have an opinion on whether I think it is overrated huff and puff football with quality foreign players.

I don't know if its jealousy, i'd say its bias more than jealousy. Living on myths that used to be true in the past.
Some are still true. Of course you get bias anywhere. And PL team forums are about the most biased you will find around.

Ya, but we're not in a PL forum, this place generally has less bias than other places i've been to, but theres no doubt that bias to the Serie A is there. It took some people until the Serie A lost its 4th place to finally admit that the league was in decline.

All the while boasting that Serie A can just as well rank below Belarus on competitiveness just as long as Juve is #1.

Ah, now its just the English that are bad, but the foreigners making it slightly better.

You see what you obviously dont understand, is that watching a 4-3 is more entertaining than a 1-1 which then is later proved to be a bent game, or some of the players ave been done for bribbing the ref's, or fixing games etc.

As a brand, the Prem is with Spain, the most entertaining in the world, and thats because of the occasional bad defendeing, as its entertaining.

a 0-0 with both team set up to defend is not that entertaining. Now that 0-0 may have Pirlo, Del Piero and Pazzini, destro or whoever you think is "technically brilliant", but it still does not make a better watch than a 4-3 with a load of huff and puff English players.

Did you also say the CL is rubbish now ??? or has been over the last few years ?? Any coincedence that is Italy's worst period for decade's with poor Serie A teams ??? Let me guess, it was better when Milan and Juve bore a draw at Old trafford ???!!!! Oh yeah, great watch !!!

I don't think it's the goals that make it interesting. I don't think more goals are scored in EPL than in the serie A. Even if there are, the difference would be small imo. If it was the goals, then the Dutch league should have had many viewers too.
It's the faster tempo that makes it more attractive to an average viewer. Of course, the quality players make it an attractive league too.

Yes, fast sports are always easier to watch for people who don't fully understand them. When I was about 12-13 and started watching the NBA and NHL I was the same.

I was shocked when i compared the number of goals in Serie A with number of goals in french Ligue 1 - serie a won at this indicator.

The French league is a lot more defensive than people think.

Are you telling me, Serie A is more entertaining or even better than the prem now, at this moment in time ??

And dont give me English players this that or the other, we are talking brands as a whole.

Depends on the match and one's tastes in football. If it were all about goals, footie would have a 3 point shot and a crease.
