Baines is one of the better English players. Usually gets a lot of assists.
Wll sure, he kicks the ball the hardest he can and it reaches the box. Then one of the rare non-English timbers in the league (Jelavic) puts his head there and accidentally scores a goal on a Baines assist.

Baines sucks, just like Downing, Cleverley and the other overrated English players.

Lol. I'm not trolling. You can't be serious and at the same time call Baines a decent player.
Baines! Baines!

BAINES!

Even Gattuso has more talent than that guy.

P.S: Or maybe I've mistaken Baines with some other guy? A short guy who plays on the wings?
Baines plays left fullback for Everton.

Terrible effort, just terrible !

Thats just like saying, all's Marchisio does is run around alot !

I lke how you pick another non Englishplayer as the only other decent player in Jelavic. The guy is good, but away from the box he is average, with not the best touch. But im sure, if he was English, you would pick that up in his game.

I think you have been abused by an English man.

What I actually said is that Jelavic is one of the rare non-English players in the EPL who CAN'T play football. If I didn't know, I'd bet that he's British.

And lol at the Marchisio comparison. The guy's technique is fantastic. If he was English, he'd probably be their most technical player.

Trust me, until you stop producing talentless hacks like Baines, you'll never have good football in England. You will keep relying on foreigners.

It's really funny to see the stupid and old stereotypes being thrown at english football. But I guess it comes from the equivalents to the brits calling italian football defensive and boring.

EPL is great but man do those English players there suck. EPL would be the best league of all time if you take away the English/British player.

Take Everton-United as an example. On one side you are hypnotized by Fellaini and you have to enjoy the game, while on the other side you see a talentless guy like Baines (spelling?) who only knows how to kick the ball the hardest he can. Then you just wanna die that Baines actually makes big money from football.
Take the English out of the EPL and I'll be its greatest fan.
You know i completely agree with your post, there is no denying that one of the reasons English teams started doing well in Europe in the last decade as opposed to the 90's is the huge influx of foreigners. So like i said i completely agree with your post. The only thing is, you picked a wrong example, i don't know if you're mixing up Baines with someone else, but Baines is one of the few English fullbacks that are technically proficient. He's good enough technically for a fullback, he's an amazing crosser of the ball, and he's great at set pieces.

That being said, you then look at other English fullbacks, Walker, Micah Richards, Onuha, and they are the biggest talentless hacks ever, even though some of them could be effective, as they're all pretty fast and strong, but technically they're just.... :D

Technique is not what the english NT is lacking.

Cole, Lampard, Gerrard, Young, Wellbeck, Rooney
WTF, are you kidding, none of these players are that special technically, other than Cole and Rooney maybe who is quite good technically. Welbeck is more pace than technique, so is Young.
