Scapegoating at its finest.

Of course he has been a distraction and hasn't helped City's cause much but blaming him for Mancini's failures is ridiculous.
Also, it isn't just Mancini's fault, Aguero and Silva have been very poor recently.

Looks like Prandelli will not allow this incident to keep Mario out of the Euros. This makes me happy.
He's forced to really. Cassano and Rossi are back after long layouts, you cannot trust them to lift the team. Balotelli is the only star player he got in attack.

I hope something will eventually change his attitude. Not another coach or a new environment, because if Mourinho can't get as much out of you as is possible, nobody else can, but perhaps something which will dramatically change his life will help him grow faster as a man. Shame really, because he's indeed very talented.

Not on a permanent basis, I would never want him at Juve but Italy will need his flair especially because Cassano and Rossi might well be not in form.
Meh, on one hand he can singlehandedly win you a game. On the other, he can also singlehandedly destroy your entire tournament. Comes down to whether or not you think the possible gains are worth the possible risks. For me, they're not.
I'd pick a trio of DP, Totti & De Natale on crutches before I'd pick him. And yes, I know the 3 mentioned names haven't exactly set the world alight for the Italy NT. Just a random example.

On a sidenote: Balotelli was one of the topics of conversation last night on a Belgian footie talkshow. Basically everyone said the same thing: no serious club will ever sign him. It's just not worth it. I'm gonna have to agree with that.
And it's not that he's not good enough, because he definitely is. But considering his amazing talent, his actual output is extremely limited. Add his overall attitude to that & you've got yourself a player that might as well tattoo "AVOID ME AT ALL COSTS" on his forehead. Actually, him doing something like that is not that far fetched.

On another sidenote: Man City not winning the title is just brilliant.

Yeah, was talking to my brother about Balotelli the other night.

We reckoned there are two possibilities for his career:

1. He has an Anelka-esque career, travelling round heaps of alright teams, but never lasting more than a year or two before getting fed up/falling out with the club; or

2. He becomes a legendary figure for a club like Napoli or some other second tier sort of club.

I think it's rather the first one.

And I agree with those points (with Buck too). He is an amazing talent and player, but man, that guy behaves like a retard. It's not smart to buy him at this point but I still think Milan will go after him. On the other hand, if he matures (which is not likely any time soon) eventually he'll become one of the best out there.

"Liverpool and the 15th, that gets on my tits that shit. What are you talking about, 'We won't play on the day'? Why can't they? My mum died on 22 August. I don't stay in all day on 22 August. Do they play on the date of the Heysel Stadium disaster? How many dates do they not play on? Do Man United play on the date of Munich? Do Rangers play on the date when all their fans died in that disaster whatever year that was – 1971?"

    - Alan Davies

He's right. Just a typical case of Liverpool's victim mentality and over-playing unfortunate events.

Yeah, it's not a gamble I would take, but I can absolutely understand why a team would sign him and try to sort his head out.

His actual output is certainly not living up to his talent but it's still quite impressive.

Having played in a total of 40 games for City, he's been troublesome for five or six times which is every eight games. I'd definitely include him in the Azzurri squad :p
