How so? What if the ref/linesman hadn't seen it? When you score a goal with your hand (which I doubt you have any problem with), you know what the potential punishment would be, you still go for it and you hope that the ref won't see you (Henry). Same with diving. How's that different with Suarez incident?

If the ref doesn't see it, then you got lucky. But it's a gamble you take where the ref will probably see it, you get a red card and hope the penalty isn't scored.

Well sorry I don't think that was that obvious. Henry's handball goal was just as obvious. Solskjaer's is totally different.

Suarez didn't care if the ref saw it or not. What he cared was his team not to concede. Look at it more like the last defender fouling the attacker from the back. It's a foul and it's gonna be a red card. The defender knows that. But he doesn't care because it's his duty at that moment to stop the opposition player from scoring.

Well you can do it blatantly not caring if the ref sees and take one for the team, or you can do it to try to deceive the ref. I don't care about Suarez or Henry, I just know I'd block a shot with my hand in that situation and not feel guilty. I dive too, but I know it's not good

And to make things clear, it's not the player's fault, it's cashing in on loopholes in the game's rules. Blaming Henry/Busquets/Suarez is meaningless, they are doing what the rules let them do. That doesn't make those players any less disgusting though.

Besides, Terry gets a timely lifeline through the wonderful system of Her Majesty, hopefully he gets the Wayne Bridge treatment. Um didn't the completely scrap the pre-game handshake when QPR and Chelsea last played? And didn't the FA Chief demand that the Suarez-Evra debacle be handled with a handshake the week before the match? Sure Suarez didn't do any good by making Liverpool club, Kenny, and all us fans look like asses, but the FA never should have set up the situation in the first place. John Barnes said it great when he made a comment saying that there are so many other things that those two could do to fight racism in football and almost all would be more effective than a handshake.
