I was just paraphrasing the youtube reaction. The English are fuckwits and racists.

I mean, you've got John Terry (cheats on his wife, yells racial slurs on camera) and Wayne Rooney (cheats on his wife, kicks montenegrans, curses at camera, suspected of interest in young boys) representing your nation and you're really worried about Scott Parker getting kicked in the lady parts by Luis Suarez.
Rooney is a fuckin tool. Love the hair transplant, tho. :)

More Spurs fault for packing the midfield and not trying to win the game.

Didn't help that Liverpool have no idea how to open a team up.

They looked quite dangerous when they went long to Carroll and got peopl close to him for flick-ons. Why don't they do that more often?
Cause Carroll can't finish?????

Rather broad generalisation. Quoting Youtube is something of a 'fuckwit' act in itself.
You should know better than to be offended by generalizations. The thing is that the youtube reaction is really just an R-rated version of the English media's take on the situation. I understand that Liverpool's inability to shut the fuck up has made Suarez a much larger target, but this whole "how dare you sully our clean sport" reaction is just stupid.

YNWA, welcome to Liverpool ;)

Kenny Dalglish is the guy doing the best job at keeping Suarez disliked, the club continues to vocally support and downplay the act of a player who was found guilty of racist abuse. Dalglish should acknowledge that the majority of people in this country are not Liverpool fans or biased towards Luis Suarez, so he can expect grief for doing this.

I'm not sure how aware you are of the reputation of Liverpool fans in this country (from Liverpool, mostly), but many have an ingrained victim complex or there is a perception of such, everyone is out to get them. That became strong through two tragedies (Heysel and Hillsborough), but carries on into every little aspect of football and also society itself. This brings a strong reaction from rival fans, and they won't leave it alone. Dalglish is seen as an advocate of that, Liverpool who can do no wrong and accept no fault.

I understand why most of England dislike Liverpool. I don't feel the same victim complex because I'm not from there and I wasn't born then. I've been following the team since 1998 so it's not like I hopped on the loser wagon yesterday. I'm annoyed by the tribal mentality as much as anyone (not only with Liverpool but also the other teams throughout the league), however I don't think the media have helped the situation. So thanks for the lecture.

It's not my intention to lecture, I just don't know people all that well.

On the point you made here;
"how dare you sully our clean sport"
it seems there is more a realisation that racism is not erased from English football or society (as if that needed pointing out) but that it was just dormant. Rio Ferdinand might not be the brightest spark but from his self-elected role as voice of the yoof he said something along the same lines:

'I didn’t know racism still existed in football until last weekend. I thought we were past all that here. I had no idea it had happened until I left the ground. It was pretty shocking. It’s crazy, I can’t believe it.'

'I don’t need to say anything, it’s all on YouTube, everyone can see what he said. What do you think he said? Look, it’s with the FA now.'
As it was John Terry directing it to his brother you can understand his mixed position. It'll be interesting if he partners Terry in the Euros.

Then this issue, which I mentioned before:
Ferguson's comments came as a well-known member of the black footballing community, former Arsenal player Paul Davis, claimed that United and QPR were not giving as much support to Evra and Ferdinand as Liverpool and Chelsea were giving to Suarez and Terry.

Davis, now a respected coach with the players' union, said: 'It is double standards and might prevent other black players from speaking out.'
It's dangerous ground and football people should move away from it.

It is interesting for Rio to say that considering his teammate accused Chelsea of racism a few seasons ago.

I forget who it was, but some journalist wrote about the number of people fined for "racist or abusive actions" at football matches, showed the stats from the last few years and it's been a steady 12-15 people per season for a while. So I think it is obviously a presence within the sport in england, just perhaps it's not been in the limelight since isolated idiots in the stands don't make as good a story as star players.

Ya, stepping on a guy's balls and poking him in the eye are perfectly acceptable in South America. Suarez hasn't done anything wrong, its just cultural differences at play again.

Didn't Suarez bit some guy in holland?
Yeah, he's crazy as shit. I could see Liverpool having to sell him at the end of the season if he keeps it up and gets another ban.

I can understand the kick to Parker being accidental, but it was definitely a bonehead move and completely unnecessary with the ball in the air like that.

Can't really tell much from still photo if that was an actual eye gouge or just the way the image capture that split second of the match. If that is an eye gouge, thats pretty fucked up and he should get a ban. But you can't really tell.

Imagine the bans he'd received if he played for Juve :D
