who still thinks mancini is not a good coach?
:hi:

what Salvatore said - he is not a great one.

Mancio is decent enough to win you a domestic title provided his team outspends the opposition 5-10/1 and that opposition is either too weak or has a horrendously inconsistent season, including many injuries, so they end up gifting you the title (8pt lead, 5 games before the end = a title thrown away) ... that was the case with Inter in Serie A and this year in the EPL too.

However, if City are looking for a coach to take them to the next level (as in win them titles in a tough, competitive league and/or be contenders at the highest level in the CL), he is not the right man for the job and they should look elsewhere ... that's what Inter realized after 3 years and it's what City will realize too after 1.5-2 bill and 2-3 years later.

2 pages and still no answer to the question instead we get more tippytoeing: 'not great' 'decent enough'. He turned a team of talented prima donnas into champs, and that takes a good coach. And btw you took a page out of berlusca's book, faulting the success of some to the failure of others, typical milanista :D

:D

depends on what you mean by decent ;)

Is Mancio decent enough for a team like Lazio, Udinese, Tottenham, etc? Yeah, I think he is although would still be pinching the salt in my right pocket :p

When a team like City spends 3-400 mil in a calendar year, however, one would think that they would aim a bit higher than finishing 3rd or 4th in the league, qualify for the CL every other year, make it thru the groups once in every 3-4 years and get thir asses kicked by the first serious team they meet.
If City is indeed a team that aims at winning a competitive EPL and reach the late stages of the CL (like a SF or even a final), then Mancio is not a decent coach for their goals.

sorry for the wordy response :D

I always had a soft spot for Man Utd, so it hurts a little bit when a team that is bought by some rich dude is winning, but I don;t mind that next year we are about to crush these fellas
