The ones you said plus, Mata, Suarez, Van Persie, Yaya, Nani, Modric, Van der Vaart to a lesser extent.

All of them plus the ones you said would start in almost if not every italian team.
Then Ibrahimovic, Thiago Silva, Pato, Boateng, Marchisio, Buffon, Chiellini, Pirlo, K. Asamoah, Armero, Maggio, Cavani, Hamsik, Lavezzi, Handanovic, Giovinco, De Rossi, Sneijder, Julio Cesar would all walk into most starting elevens in the premiership.

I must say I loved writing that list, made me realise just how many stellar names are in this league and I've been very fussy there too.

The English pundits speak about those two players as though it's a foregone conclusion they'll be playing in the premiership, typical British arrogance.
Yeah, this really frustrates me particularly as I am - by birthplace - a Brit. Cavani wants Real Madrid, he's not at that level just yet but he's definitely on his way, Hamsik prefers to stay in Serie A and I can't see Lavezzi leaving Napoli anytime soon.

.
You are aware that I purposedly left out English and 'old' players because we're talking about players that could be at some point, willing to move, which Brits arent. I don't think Italians are either, so that writes off a good chunk of your list.

Armero would probably start for Arsenal and that's about it (and this is coming from a guy who loves him and watchs him play for club and country)

How many stars are there in the EPL who would be wanted by Spanish or italian teams, to begin with - Tevez, Vidic, Aguero, Silva, maybe Balotelli. The rest are hyped up, overvalued players of local importance or busted transfers ... many of them are English players, who'd stay in the EPL anyway - it's not like many of them have left that league for Italy, Spain, etc over the years.

anyways, I saw the context but the fact is Tevez is still a star, which you conveniently denied, and a very expensive transfer, at least till Man City didn't f that up, and wants out of there. That was my point, never touched Alen's "exodus to Italy" claims in the first place.

btw, my offer from the EPL betting event is still on the table :D
I don't even know if you're still being serious. This isn't even an argument, its just me trying to explain my posts to you. All i have to say, is go and read my posts again.

Actually, the EPL teams and some Italian teams are paying more for wages than Madrid and Barcelona. The taxes are the reason for such an unbelievable fact.
In any case, I wasn't underestimating their ability to spend more than the others last year, this year or next year. I'm telling you that serie A teams will do the same.
Milan are already on whooping 160m eur per season for wages. Only City and Chelsea are paying more than that and Chelsea are paying just a little bit more than Milan. Liverpool reduced the wage bill by 35m eur this year. United and Arsenal are also paying less than in the last years. United pay as much as Inter does for wages. Arsenal pay as much as Juve does. Only City are breaking the bank. All the others are paying less than they used to. Actually, I believe they are also not spending as much on transfer fees as they used to, if we exclude the Torres related transfers.
I see with the EPL the same things I witnessed with serie A before Calciopoli. The scandal only speed up the process, but it was a process that already started before Calciopoli, when Juve lost Zidane and then players like Ronaldo, Shevchenko etc left the league. Some teams occasionally shined and won the CL, but overall the league was becoming weaker and weaker financially.

Barca and Real are stealing the show from the EPL and it will result with the league becoming weaker.
They've already stolen the show. They've been doing it for two years and now no English team stands a chance against those two clubs.

Lol Giovinco? Seriously? He might walk into A.Villa or Fulham's lineups. Even K.Asamoah and Boateng would be hard pressed to find a place in top teams.

I don't mean just the success and the financial power. I don't have any numbers available, but at least in my surroundings the matches between Barca and Real are attracting attention more than they ever did. Those are almost like WC finals now. Even more, a huge number of people watches Barca and Real even when they play minnows. The demand for La Liga is growing, solely because of those two.
I'm guessing that it's similar all around the world in the non-English speaking countries, and EPL, with all their marketing, are losing lots of viewers at the expense of La Liga (Barca and Real). That will imo, gradually, hurt the league financially.

SKY are finding it really difficult to market the EPL without making stupid claims that diminish Barca and Real's current standing in the game.

They also don't seem quite sure how to market EL Classico without devaluing their EPL coverage.

And even in Britain El Classico gets more attention than any single EPL game now, I think.

Within Scotland, the Old Firm game can possibly still compete for attention and coverage.

Only because of the phisicality of that league, even so he had one of his better games in a Juve shirt against chelsea

Boateng could go back to Pompey :p
Boateng > Lampard/Carrick/Adams/Rosicky or whoever

Question for Fred:

I saw that Rosicky started and I think played the full match against Wolves yesterday. Has he been starting regularly and do you think he will continue to start (if he stays fit :D)?

I need to know for Fantasy Football purposes :p

That is true as well.

He's doing the same thing as you... Arsenal fan , but we actually like him
 I love you all too.

He will surely not start many games. He's become shit if i'm to be honest, even though he did kinda well against Wolves. Only reason he played against Wolves, is because we have 3 games in the space of 7 days.

Not a big fan of Giovinco, but he'd walk into Arsenal's team.
That is hugely debatable. But he might start for us, not sure.

Giovinco has been doing very well for Parma, but at Juve he rarely proved he deserves to play at such a club. and before you start telling me how little opportunities you got. Ask yourself why none of the coaches that came to Juve had any faith in him, keep in mind that they see him everyday in training.

Boateng > Lampard/Carrick/Adams/Rosicky or whoever
Thats a strange mix of players you have there. Carrick and Adam are defensive mids, or kind of like deep lying playmakers that sit in front of the defense and spray the ball around. Boateng is more of an energetic attacking midfielder. You could compare him to Lampard and Rosicky, as they too are attacking midfielders. Lampard is past it, he's not doing too well this season, which is why he's being benched sometimes at Chelsea. Rosicky has been off form for like forever, so you could say Boateng is better than those players. In the case of Rosicky, Boateng is better for sure. Boateng is also ten times the player Ramsey is, so he'd probably walk into the Arsenal team(not much of an achievement these days) but i can't see him playing instead of Nani or Young in United, i would argue that Meireles is a more balanced player so he wouldn't start for Chelsea either. He surely won't start ahead of neither Nasri or Silva at City.

Apparently we're going to be offering Thierry a 2 month loan contract. Welcome back legend

Strong rumors linking us to Podolski too. IMO he can work out, never really worked for him at Bayern, but he's always been good for the NT and apparently he's having a stellar season at Koln. Wouldn't mind taking a risk on him.

Theo should bow down to the king and hand him back his number, after that we should retire the number and Theo can fuck off and take another number. But thats probably not going to happen, so no he won't get his number back.
