Vermaelen is definitely out of the Chelsea game. Fucking great, now we have to play the mediocre duo Squillachi and Koscielny, here comes another thrashing :sergio:

I don't even want Cesc to play anymore, i'd rather we kept him for games we can win.

Moreover that fucking clown Fabianski played well today, that could mean that Wenger might play him against Chelsea after Almunia's howlers last week. That is the worst news ever for an Arsenal fan, if Fabianski plays, and the mediocre French centerbacks play in front of them, i don't know why i'd bother watching the game.

Fuck Wenger and fuck his Frenchies

:hi:

Still, I'm sure Arsenal won't get thrashed.

After all, the EPL is the bestest, most competitive league in the world, so how could the best team in the league possibly hammer the fourth/fifth best team in the league?

It happens in Spain all the time. Barcelona keep thrashing the Athletico's, Villareals and Sevilla's don't they??

I don't consider the Serie A as good as those two leagues, so even though it doesn't happen much in Italy, that doesn't mean much.

Spain, as far as I know, doesn't claim to have the most competitive league in the world, unlike England.

The mentality is different in Serie A. There are very few teams who continue to really attack once they go two goals ahead, so there aren't many thrashings.

They don't?

Of course they do, do you think Marca and el Mundo Deportivo say the EPL is the best? Spanish football fans always say the Liga is the best league, here in the Arab world its the perception of most fans that football ends at Real and Barcelona and that Spanish league is the best in the world. Which is not necessarily wrong mind you.

Also, you underestimate Spanish arrogance.

I'm not saying the Spanish league isn't the best or that Spanish don't claim it to be the best.

All I'm saying is that the English are always banging on about how competitive the EPL is.

and i'm saying, the Spanish probably brag about it just as much, but English speaking folk such as ourselves are not exposed to it as much as we are to the English's bragging.

Perhaps.

I don't see how they could say it's competitive, since most seasons it's hardly any more competitive than the SPL.

They could legitimately claim it to be the best league at the moment, though.

Are you talking about the Spanish or the English now?

What about the Italian though, its less competitive than the Scottish in the past few years, as for the last 4 years, we all know Inter will win it before the season even starts.

I was talking about Spain, Fred.

Last season was pretty good in Serie A, in terms of the league going pretty much to the wire and about three years ago it also went to the last day.
