Crespo is a free agent.

Channel4.com:
Chelsea let Crespo leave
Thursday 3 July, 2008
Chelsea have officially released Argentine striker Hernan Crespo, who spent the last two seasons at Inter, after his contract expired.

Despite being owned by Chelsea since 2003, Crespo has spent the last four years in Italy with loan spells at Milan and Inter.

Ironically, Crespo’s last involvement at Stamford Bridge came under Jose Mourinho in 2005-06 but he was frozen out by the Portuguese Coach.

“We thank Hernan for his efforts in a Chelsea shirt and wish him well in the future,” a statement on the Blues’ website reads.

Crespo scored 20 goals in 49 games for Chelsea and is the first player in history to score in the Champions League for five different sides.

The 32-year-old is now a free agent and will consider his club future with Roma reportedly interested in securing his services.
Wonder were he'll end up.

I was watching a documentary on Supersports about FA Cup legends and great EPL players overall. It was originallay made in 2003,so it didnt have Ronalod n co in it.What i found amusing was that the narrator called Les Ferdinand and Andy Cole some the best strikers of their generation,a 23 year old Gerrard as the most promising young talent in the world,Robbie Fowler the most lethal striker the world has seen in the last 10 years,Andy Gray as one of the most talented players of his generation and David Ginola one of the greatest wingers of all time :lol2:

He repeated the term 'one of the best of his generation' so many times that i lost count. The only assesments he got right were those of Dalglish,Clemence and to an extent..Ryan Giggs. He even went overboard with his comments on Eric Cantona by claiming that he was as good as Zidane and Platini.

And all this time i was thinking..

Where the fuck are Klinsmann,Zola,Schmeichel etc? They owned every British player who was one of the 'best players of his genreation'.

Arsenal midfielder Aliaksandr Hleb has joined in the recent spate of bridge burning by publicly criticising both Arsene Wenger and Cesc Fabregas…

Hleb has long been toying with a summer exit from Emirates, and has been tagged as a near-certainty to leave since Internazionale made an approach towards the end of last season.

It has been suggested that the Belarusian attacker is fed up with the hustle and bustle of life in London, while the player himself has admitted he is yet to fully adapt to the pace of English football.

However, the 27-year-old’s main beef may in fact be with the fact Wenger has deployed him almost exclusively on the wings, despite the fact his preference is to play through the centre.

“My view of how I should be playing didn’t coincide with the manager’s,” Hleb was quoted as saying in The Sun.

“I told him last season I wanted to leave and think he was quite upset about it. But ask him. It may turn out he’s happy to see me go.”

Selfish

Fabregas is the reason Hleb cannot get a game in the middle, as the Spanish playmaker has taken the Premier League by storm over the last few seasons since bursting onto the scene as a teenager.

But Hleb is not so enamoured with his team-mate as the rest of Europe is, insisting the EURO 2008 winner is greedy and goal-hungry.

“When we get scoring opportunities, Fabregas is much more selfish than me,” said the ex-Stuttgart player, who has often been criticised for his minimal contribution on the score-sheet.

“Given a chance to shoot, he always goes for it — unlike me.”

Barca Bound

Hleb and his representatives are reportedly deep in negotiations with Barcelona, who are keen to replenish their creative stocks after ditching both Deco and Ronaldinho.

And the former Dinamo Minsk youngster confirmed that Catalonia is his preferred destination: “I don’t know where I’ll be next season but I’d prefer Barcelona. It is being negotiated and, hopefully, will be decided soon.”

:howler:
Which is why he's ten times the player you ever will be, its also why our two centerbacks score more goals than you do every season isnt it?

I hope he fucks off already, we already got a ready made replacement in Nasri..i wanted him gone last summer anyway, admittedly he proved me wrong this past season and i changed my mind about him, but if this is his attitude then he may as well leave.

We can use the money we get out of him to get a defensive mid to play alongside Cesc.

I really dont know, its a bit confusing, he wants a high salary that we arent gonna give him and we're demanding a high transfer sum for him that nobody is willing to pay.

To that doubter guy

City paid £19m for João Alves de Assis Silva

told you they would

"new Rivaldo" :howler:
Jo is terrible from what i can remember from the Champions' league a few years back. And so is his striking partner 'the next big thing' Carvalho. Just another over-hyped, over-payed forgiener coming into the English game. I might change my name to João Alves de Assis Silva and then maybe i'd get a game in the Premier League. He'll be a flop!!!

In comparison with the underrated, under payed English players?

ship him off, get a a good goal scorer and you will win the league
If i was guaranteed Huntelaar or Villa, i'd do that without any hesitation.

But fact of the matter is, we all know Arsene wont buy anyone if he sold Adebayor. Thats why i'd rather he stayed.

I havent seen enough of Jo to make an argument, but i have seen enough of Johnson to know he's an extremely average and one dimensional player..if Jo isnt better than him, then he's pretty bad.

Jo is easily more talented than Andy Johnson.

The latter is indeed one-dimensional and pretty much nothing more than a bull in a China shop.
