Carragher cautioned for assault

LIVERPOOL, England, Feb 28, 2008 (AFP) — Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has been cautioned by police for common assault in connection with a roadside bust-up with a man earlier this week.

Carragher, 30, was on his way to Liverpool's Melwood ground at the time of the confrontation on Tuesday morning.

Following a complaint by the man involved, Carragher accepted a caution from police, which amounts to an admission of guilt in English law.

Common assault is the lowest form of assault and can include anything from spitting to shoving.

Wenger is an incredible man manager and tactician, but he should be fined for having a tongue. He probably gives the most pathetic post and pre match interviews.Everytime it comes down to something that goes against Arsenal,he whines like his team is being targeted by every other team on the planet.Today he was talking about how the opposition teams make it a point to target Arsenal with agressive and physical tactics. And hello?Dont Flamini and Adebayor do that too? When Arsenal get a dubious penalty or something,or if one of Arsenal's players gets away with a obvious handball,he'd go 'I didnt see that' and when something bad happens to his team he acts like a mother who thinks that all the other people bully her kid. What an Arsenhole.Im actually happy that Villa are on the verge of kicking Wenger's whining butt.

Arsenal were very lucky.

Villa should have finished them on the break but missed a bunch of chances.

Arsenal need to get their act together fast, or Man utd and Chelsea will overtake them and they will go out of the CL to Milan.

So it ends 1-1.Now whine like a little bitch Arsene.Whine about the infinite decisions that went against Arsenal and how your team is being targetted by the big bad world.

Wenger on Villa:

"Aston Villa were a difficult opponent who defended very well and who were sharp on the break. I must say they are a team with very robust players and you feel always they expose your defenders to the physical challenge - in a fair way but in a way that can be dangerous for you. They take advantage of every mistake. Up front, too, they are a handful.

"I must say that I was impressed by Villa. Until the last minute they didn't give us any space, or time on the ball and they are team who are very difficult to beat."

Yep, always moaning. :agree:

Arsenal

Alumnia 7.5: An excellent performance from the Spaniard. Showed why he is now incontestably the Gunner’s number one with some alert saves and excellent long kicks.

Sagna 6.0: Excellent going forward although he faded after a bright start. Far less distinction was earned as regards his defensive duties. Discomforted his centre halves by being caught upfield by Villa breakaways.

Senderos 6.5: Unlucky to concede an own goal in the first half. Will be satisfied with his performance against the wily Carew. Replaced by Denilson.

Gallas 6.0: A first half booking for a foul on Agbonlahor was proof of the defender’s uneasy afternoon. Not at his best today and should be disappointed that he was unable to cut out Agbonlahor’s cross which resulted in the goal.

Clichy 7.0: A constant threat down the left flank. Played almost as a wing back which might be customary at the Emirates but is dangerous against the very quick Ashley Young. Perfectly delivered cross for the goal.

Diaby 5.0: Below par performance. Couldn’t really get into the game and offered little along the flanks in an untidy first half. Replaced by Bendtner.

Fabregas 6.5: Another Gunner not quite on song against a committed Villa midfield. Struggled to find his passing range and didn’t pull the strings from the centre as his manager would have liked. Should have done better with an excellent chance on the stroke of half time.

Flamini 7.0: Another lung-busting performance from the Arsenal workhorse but without the usual central dominance that such displays normally bring for his team. Important role in cutting the lines of communication between Villa’s midfield and the speedy frontmen. Replaced by Gilberto.

Hleb 6.5: Low key game from the Belarusian. Couldn’t bring his usual attacking authority to Arsenal’s forward play. Marked well by Gardner.

Adebayor 7.5: A constant danger for Villa’s defenders. He worried them with his height, his movement, his positioning and his passing. Didn't quite score, but no surprise that he made the goal.

Walcott 6.5: The jury is still out on the young forward. His great pace and trickery was undermined by a tendency to wander to the periphery of the match. Didn’t impose himself enough and some of his crossing lacked accuracy.

Substitutes:

Bendtner 6.5: Did he celebrate with Adebayor after the Togolese striker provided him with an unmissable chance on the stroke of full time? Played his part in Arsenal’s utterly dominant second half display but didn’t disturb the composure of Villa’s solid defence until the very last seconds.

Gilberto 6.0: No real impact on the game but didn’t weaken Arsenal by his presence. Denilson 6.0: No time to show his ability in what might be considered a disappointing season so far for the young Brazilian.

I love Arsene and i hate it when people call him a whiner and all. But to be honest he does whine a lot.

Having said that, Mourinho is much worse on this matter, only difference is that Mourinho's moaning was entertaining, thats why he got away with it. But he is really much worse than Wenger.

I didnt even bother hearing his post match interview.Just because he's appreciated the opponent a few times doesnt mean that he isnt a whiner.
As you didn't bother, perhaps you don't ever bother and only read the 'whining' in the newspapers. The Media don't report a managers graciousness, there's no story there so your opinion is probably skewed.

Yes, he does moan, but no more then any other manager; for instance, Fergie just said this instant on Skysports news that Arsenal got their usual preferential treatment at the emirates in relation to the injury time added.
