Mourinho is perhaps one of the sharpest knives in the kitchen drawer in today's football. Don't let his selfconfidence blind you, he is a good coach.
no offence but he moans a f*cking lot about refereeing decisions, almost as much as wenger, only aidy boothroyd of watford takes it on the chin and continues his optimistic views of his squad, he is very honest, he states when hes unhappy and when he knows his players did well, at the end of the day he knows his players are fighters, a small reminder of what juve are currently like

Leeds United are in crisis. They've recently appointed Dennis Wise from Swindon Town (much to the fury of the latter's team supporters, mind you) and currently lay second from BOTTOM in the Championship.

Please discuss.

I hope Leeds ends up alright. I remember a six or so years ago they were the surprise team in the Premiership, and they played really well. It seems everything fell apart shortly thereafter.

Yeah they reached the Champions League Semi Finals one year, but over spending and arrogonce from their board was they're downfall.

They had some great players like Rio ferdinand,Robbie Keane,Robbie Fowler,Oliver Dacourt,Joanthon Woodgate,Lee Boyer,Alan Smith,Ian Harte and other good squad players.

They really had a good team, a bunch of wankers they are, how could you fail so horribly with that?

I like how "Southend" finds their suitable place in the table...

Some people have to care about their names sometimes...

when are they not in crisis? :D

seriously, i hope they fight their way back, there is still 19 games left, 57 points, maybe they can clinch some play off spot, though i wouldn't bet on it, or at least not get relegated. i used to like them, they were all about youth players, really crappy board though..

It's a shame that Leeds is discussed on a Juventus forum, and John Charles isn't mentioned :disagree:
Do you think all this guys read some of Juventus history?
Go to the street, find a guy with a juve jersey and say "John Charles" he'll say "wtf?!" say "Del Piero" and wait for a "hell yeah!"

I beg to differ. Dacourt is a vastly underrated player IMO, especially on the defensive end. He is no star, but I will take him as a part of rotational player in a heart-beat. Its just that Roma got more center mid than Brazil got left full backs, so they couldnt afford to offer a million contract considering the financial predicament they are in.

I saw their demise coming, and personally I am not surprised at all by their calamity. I didnt see them week in and week out, but no FC can be viable when you spend more on player wages than what you earn in a season. That is no way to build a team, and represent proflicacy bigger than Lazio or Roma. They had a fanstastic run in the CL, surviving two outrageously tought group on their way, via aid of Milan who so wanted to kick Barca out of the competition, but the run was phenomenal nonetheless. I see another Sheff. Wednesday coming.

Dacourt was great with Leeds... probably the one player they couldn't live without during their quest for the Champions League in 2001.

Martyn

Mills - Ferdinand - Matteo - Harte

Bowyer - Bakke - Dacourt - Kewell

Viduka - Smith

What an underrated yet solid team that had potential. But I'm glad they went down as I could never stand Leeds.
