oh come on, elton john is their ex owner :D

and they were managed by vialli in not too distant past
Oh really, I didnt know about that. I m not really into those 80s pop-song anyway -a bit too much cheese for me. I never followed Vialli's career once he left. I loved the man when he led Juve as a captain, but I never got fond of him as a person.

But I do feel a soft spot for Watford to a degree. I never seen a team that hits post as much as they do.:disagree:

Now Boulahrouz is injured for Chelsea and Mourinho has to use Ferreira centrally at the back.

Still 0-0 at Villa Park. Good old Jose doesn't seem like a happy camper.

And Gabor Kiraly is still wearing his sweatpants. :D

chelsea have some key players injured (cech, terry, joe cole, robben). If manutd would have ronaldo, van der sar, scholes and rooney injured, would they do as well they do now?
Even if chelsea is a "money club" they also have their heros, who dont play just for money or just because wife wants to live in other country or something.

They deserved it.:weee:

I predicted Chelski to get a late winner to sneak the game, but damn Lampard had to mess up my prediction (I guess he has been hearing all my criticisms about him on this board:biggrin: ). Just listening to Fergie on yesterday's interview, I think both managers are well aware this year EPL is simply too deep to be decided by a couple of matches. What Chelsea needs to is just hang in there in this bad phrase, and eventually some players will pick up the form, and come back from injuries. At least, they didnt ship in the goal like last two games, so they should take that as a consolation. Nevertheless, Chelsea will have to dig deep into CB market this Jan. Ferreira is a lamb to be slaughtered.

J. Cole and Robben don't affect Chelsea too much because they like to play with the box midfield, instead of using their wide men. Cech and Terry have been a loss...but hell, whose fault was it that Chelsea didn't pick up a central defender to replace Gallas? And the starting lineups of the two teams might be equal in quality, however, the benches certainly are not. Comparing what he has now to what he had in the past, Mourinho should be able to do better. Though he's always entertaining nonetheless.

I just happen to like watching CRonaldo. Plus I'm tired of Chelsea playing ugly and boring with their all-star cast, then nicking a winner in the 93rd minute...I'm tired of seeing them buy so many players every transfer window...I'm tired of everything Chelski haters are tired of. So here's to hoping it's United's year to shine.

Oh, and Mourinho to Inter. That would be a blast.:coffee:

Injury definetely has played a role: Had Van der Saar, and Vidic been injured for a long sustained time, ManUre's back line would be as bad as current Chelski's. But they havent, and I guess that is part of the game. Luck is a critical factor in all sports & competition. Still, Ronaldo is a key man for me. He is on a one man mission to win the league, and his health is a single biggest factor in this year's race.
