He was cleared of the oral sex claim according to the BBC, but convicted on a sexual touching charge.
While what he did was wrong for all sorts of moral reasons, I think he should not face jail time at all. The victim admitted to being infatuated with him. She was also the one who contacted him, not the other way around. And while 15 is clearly underage, it is also an age when many girls are sexually active. It's also important to consider that in many European countries the age of consent is 16 and in some of them even 14. Even if Johnson had sex with a 15 year old girl, I sincerely doubt he's a paedophile. Johnson does however deserve to be punished. You'd expect a hell of a lot more class from a 28 year old footballer. A 21 year old might claim he's a kid himself. But Johnson was a grown man and had all the responsibilities that come with being an adult.
