English football fans getting mugged off again. It would be nice if the clubs helped out their fans by lowering ticket prices, but LOL at that ever happening.

I will admit that the atmosphere of most EPL matches is dead. Mostly because the noisy drunken types can't afford to go, it's only prawn sandwich businessmen who can afford it these days. We price out most people.

Obviously TV viewers don't really care about noise level much. If they cared Bundesliga would have bigger TV deals than us.
Thats exactly the point I was trying to make to that Vialli92 clown, but he still insists that the atmosphere at EPL games is great

 @ Van Gaals rant about playing long balls post West Ham game. Really got under his skin. Check out the lady's face at the end when she hands out the copy to reporters.

Always found him to be an overrated coach, and a massive douchebag as well. I'm loving the way he's ruining them at the moment, United look almost as clueless as last season but with a much better squad.

That was up there with Rafa's "fact" rant when he was at Liverpool. Can't believe anyone could get so riled by Sam Allardyce.

I don't think they've lost for a long while, but no one is really sure how, because they have been utter crap in so many games.

The atmosphere at Liverpool wasn't bad yesterday during the match.
But in general, you are correct, it is awfull.
Even 3000 Anderlecht fans made more noise at the Emirates then all the Arsenal fans, even when Arsenal was leading 3-0
When it was 3-3, you didn't here one Arsenal fan anymore.

I remember 2000 Roma fans outsinging the Prawn Sarnie brigade at Old Trafford when their team was getting smashed 7-1.

It still has a better atmosphere than the majority of Serie A games though thats my point.
I wouldn't say that is the case, I've been to plenty of epl matches in my time and the atmosphere especially at the big clubs like chelsea, arsenal, man utd, man city is awful. Even in the big derby games in england the atmosphere isn't all that, in Italy you have the coreography the chorus of songs throughout.

For me personally, it doesn't hurt, just saying that it indeed is not the league with the most enthusiastic fans.
That is simply not true.

There's not a lack of passion on the British Isles when is comes to football.

The prices and the rules is what's keeping the atmosphere down. That sucks.

But British football fans are in general passionate and enthusiastic. Premier League clubs have plenty of enthusiastic fans. Ever been to a pub when the local club's playing?

I've been to Scunthorpe game in League 1 with a better atmosphere than a lot of Serie A games.

the championship down (except wigan cuz they prefer rugby) generally has good atmosphere, I quite enjoy going to see the smaller/local clubs where you got a few thousand crammed into a small stadium on FA Cup day

Success follows where the money is. And right now the money is with EPL , and it looks like its going to be there for some time. They have created a brand , capitalize on proper marketing and captured the global market when Serie A is still content with being what they get in Italy.

All 20 EPL clubs make into the top 40 richest club in Europe, meanwhile we have huge clubs like Parma who is sold for 1euro . Soon , even the famed atmosphere will long gone, if there is no proper finance to back the clubs to operate.

Parma isn't a huge club lol. But yes your points are correct otherwise.
