I didn't say he did, I say I wouldn't take his word. What happened with Vidal, after he said he would stay, is proof enough he hasn't got shit over his players. They choose whatever.
Which still bothers me A LOT, a contract should mean something and apparently in modern football it never does. And definitely not at Juventus.
Marotta has always made it clear that they don't intend to sell UNLESS the player's will is to leave then the clubs philosophy is to not keep players here against their wishes (i.e. Vidal & Coman).
So, if Pogba decides to leave then you can bet your sweet cakes he will be sold.
I'm not saying he does or he doesn't. I'm state the clubs philosophy. If he wants to be sold he will be sold so people shouldn't act surprised when that day comes if it ever does.

A contract is not really a contract (despite the name), it's really a gamble. The club thinks it's a good price to pay for a player who will contribute a certain amount and the player thinks it's a good deal to take in terms of money and career path.
If the player is motivated mostly by money it's easy - just pay him more than most other clubs would and he's likely to want to remain as long as possible.
I think people need to understand that the "uncertainty" around Pogba has nothing to do with him being at Juve. There is "uncertainty" around Messi, Neymar, Ronaldo and the likes as well because those are the names that sell.
If we want to be free of transfer rumors we need to have a team full of Padoins. In todays football every player and their dog will get drawn to transfer speculation such is the business nowadays.
Quality is quality, we should know by now after signing Barzagli, Pirlo and Tevez in similar age Mascherano is. He is pretty much the best overall defensive player you can have these days.
