Why are you getting worked up ? What you say is commen sense and logical. Dont waste time in those who reject it

Mata is finished so it would be daylight robbery by the seller
He is far from finished. He is one of the better performers at a struggling team under a bad coach. He was fantastic for Chelsea and we can still see his occasional moment of brilliance with United just without the consistency. If he was in his best form, he would be super expensive.

Silva is better but is old. Ozil is better but not sellable. Eriksen has great potential but will need a lot more money as well (perfect signing if purchasable). Same applies for Isco and definitely for James. Gotze wont move and is very expensive and Draxler's ship has sailed. There are no quality AMs in serie A.

Who did I miss?

Don't think we can realistically, but was talking in terms of quality mainly.

Tho our chances wouldn't be bad to get him if he wanted to move, even if PSG would be foolish to let him. I said so about our chances because I recall he said he would move to Italy or Spain, doesn't prefer England on cultural /life style terms. And if that would be for real then his choices would really be only us or Atletico Madrid.
This summer he'll prolly ask to leave and PSG will replace him with Higuain or God knows who....
But the problem is the salary and the competition from the other clubs.
I'd love Cavani here. But it's unrealistic for our team! I would be extremely suprised if we sign him.
I know we will get Berardi wonder who will be our fifth striker beside Berardi-Dybala-Zaza and Mandzukic.

Its been quite a while that Mata was notably good, but he's extremely lazy and that simply doesnt work here.

if i say that, i get all kind of offence trown at me
:D I don't know how anyone could ever want someone like him at this club, especially given our history of players.

The guy's got 0 grinta, no heart, no blood to give and walks around like he's shopping in the mall. There isn't a single "trace" of the Juventus way in that lazy body of his.

I'd pass even for 15m.

27 year old skillfull creator who has the quality to make the difference and not long ago performed like this:

Not a stretch to find himself again with more motivation in new setting (we seen that happen enough with us past years, Barzagli, Evra, Pirlo, Tevez even Khedira right now).

There's nothing you can do to motivate a dead corpse to move unless you're Dr. Osmaneinstein. :shifty:

Also are you willing to donate your blood to this bloodless bastard? Like all of it?

Lets cut down on the silliness for a second. Do you refuse to acknowledge that players that showed top class before but been struggling since can bounce back and be of excellent service to another new club? I litterally just mentionned the examples of such we had (some more telling then others sure). Why is that so hard to see as a clear possibility?

Extra bonus that he would be the youngest of such example too that we had if we managed it.

Yes, many have. We have many examples in our own team, sure. Personally don't believe it's his case. Simply isn't his style or is in his DNA to play for this type of club, in Italy. Which doesn't completely neutralize the possibility he might find his form again, but sill believe he will fit better somewhere else... probably back in Spain.

Problem is after a while I have no doubt in my mind we'll start getting annoyed by his lack of willingness to run after a ball, track back or even do anything more than just jog about. I have a feeling Allegri wants more than just a good passer for his TQ role.

I'm not saying agree with me, just making sure you acknowledge the distinct possibility of him performing well again (he is offensive player first and foremost, so his lack of running will only concern me if he is not taking care of his main duties) and not speak in absolute terms, comes off bit hyperbolic.

Everyone defends and runs his ass off at Juve.

Juve have always been about team work, but its not like we did not have a player before who did not put in much defensive work. Del Piero and Baggio is two of my favorite Juve players of all time and they were not exactly hard tackling grinta sort of players. If a player adds something extraordinary offensively it is accepted that he dont contribute much defensively. That being said Mata is not that player.

That's very true. Currently I'd say we lack a player like Mata who has imagination, vision and very good through passes. He's definitely a player that prefers to play in the middle, so in theory he'd be a perfect AM for us.

Overall I'd consider him and eventually take him based on what our alternatives would be but also how much Mata's would cost. To get that killer ability we definitely need a creative AM more than a hard working one. Having both would definitely be the best but that's obvious.
