I can't disagree with what you are saying, which ultimately leads me to believe he will stay. If I remember correctly, Pogba cares about winning and being the best, and Man Utd can't currently offer him that. I believe he is an ambitious lad, albeit with an annoying agent. He is fully aware that time is on his side, and if he has a stellar 2018 World Cup, he could move to Barcelona or Madrid (his preferred destinations according to various sources). He is not a 29 year old looking to get his last big paycheck, and he surely realizes that it is in his best interest to continue to grow and develop with us. I have a feeling this is all his agent and Media BS for us to give him an improved contract.
after 2018? when his contract just left 1 years more? of course we will never get another 120m euro offer if that is the condition.

If Pogba goes for 120m, we have to bite the bullet and sign Higuain. With the sale of Pereyra and Zaza, we should use that money in conjuction with what ever is left after the Pogba sale to get another class midfielder. Remember that Pogba sale is PURE profit.

We will look back at this and think that Pjanic was in fact the true Pogba replacement and people will say that after selling Pogba, Morata, Zaza and Pereyra, we end up with Pjanic, Alves, Benatia, Higuain, Pjaca and another world class midfielder.

:agree:

Pjanic has never really been a trequartista for Roma. He's more of a RCM. He can play trequartista, yes, but Roma has played with wing-based formations for the last 3 years under Garcia and Spalletti, so there was no need for a CAM. He played as RCM on a free role, much like Pogba as the LCM here.

If we lose Pogba, getting someone like Mascherano would really be ideal, as he could play between Khedira and Pjanic in our 3-5-2 to begin, at least until Marchisio returns, and then we'd figure out our ideal midfield setup. Another top-potential young midfielder for the future would be good too.

When we sell Pogba we have to do crazy. If we receive at least 100 million (talking only money for Juve) we should make a bid for Verratti, 80 million euro. Nd 25 million euro for Gabigol of Juan Jesus, market closed.
PSG don't need money and they have no policy to sell players if they ask for it like we do

Yap in this case I think you are right as we must do something that will give us that leap in quality and Higuain will definitely do it!
I have a bit of a conflict about signing players with these kind of numbers!
I know we must spend in order to get the best but I also think no one should pay these sums...

Beckham was never a great footballer. A lot more hype and marketability if anything.
What The Fuck are you talking about Beckham was very marketable but he was definitely one of the best in his position! I remember when he got Real the La Liga title when they played poorly without him and then he got some playing time and suddenly all has changed!
Beckham is not one of those who will be mentioned in history as one of the best of all time but he was certainly one of the best in his position in his era

He was an incredibly limited player with a specific skill set.

With A.Gomes seems on his way to Real,i think getting Kovacic on a loan/cheap is possible.
plus we should make the move for James if Pogba is sold.Zidane wants him out.

Agree.
That's why Pjanic was HUGEE signing for us.and we didn't hesitated with that deal like with Dybala last summer.Imo he's going to be our leader in midfield.
We need another player to cover DM.(Matic?)
And ofcourse if James is possible it would be amazing.

I hope we splash the Pogba cash on a few good names.
Wouldn't mind seeing us get James Rodriguez, Cavani and a third player as well.

Does Naingolan have a release clause?
