 dani alves right, we are replacing a 32 years old lichtsteiner with an even older dani alves :sergio: I don't even like if we resorted to a 31 years old mascherano if he couldn't play in 2 positions.
We are not replacing Licht. He will rotate with him like we do on the other side with Evra/AS depending our tactics. Seriously, it's like you guys have not seen him play. The guy is really good, and it's obvious the club has the CL in it's sights the next year. Who would you have gone for instead of him? Remember the cost which would also affect our other signings (Mascherano, Pjanic/Gomes, potentially losing Morata).

Dudes be thinking Morata will be on the squad next season

As I read somewhere else here on Tuz, I think the club has a short term focus on winning the Champions League. We won't see big changes in our defense until 2018 when Buffon, Barzagli and most likely Evra will leave. We might even get the youngsters for defense next year to have 1 year of learning under those guys before they retire as we saw this year with Rugani. Not this summer though.
Even after 2018 our defence is great we just need to get a few backups and maybe a new RB if Lirola doesn't break.

We aren't replacing licht with alves.. We need 2 players who can play RB/Rwb.. After this we will look for a younger replacement for that position just like we did with the left side of the midfield (from evra to Alex sandro)

Mascherano wasn't bad enough, now lets take grandpa Alves. How about the average age of our defense? Rugani is the future for them all, in 3 years we'd play ... Rugani-Rugani-Rugani!

We have enough old players in the team so our youngsters have the proper leadership and good examples on and off the pitch, but you still need young legs along the old brains.

No to Alves, No to Mascherano!
No to any more of your posts.

Go support Arsenal if you're looking for a lower average age instead of quality. It's not like Beppe has no foresight FFS.
I don't know if you are old enough to remember, but Capello's Juve got fucked by an young Arsenal side and at the time all of us were far from expecting it. They just flat outrun the quality legs of Vieira and Emerson. And I am very far from an Arsenal supporter...

33 years old dany alves won't add much to this team unless he's free; however seeing as how near future transfer market looks like with the inflation, we would take even bigger risk in middle term if we have such 2 oldies on our right flank, in 2018 we would have to get a new keeper, a new cb, a whole new rb and his sub and that's still not counting yet another cm replacement and possible pogba departure... We can't rusk such short term investment.
So if we spend money on him hes gonna suck but if hes free he might turn out good

If you read between the lines of the Marotta interview he said: "Morata is the only unknown in attack" but in the same interview he said he will complete the Berardi deal. Perhaps, this may mean that Berardi is coming and either Morata is staying or we would still pursue a replacement for Morata if he leaves. i.e 5 forwards next season instead of 4.

Allegri always goes for physical superiority if given a direct choice. While he was at AC Milan, he sold Pirlo and replaced him with Nocerino.Morata is not going to be picked alongside a smaller guy like Dybala in team coached by Allegri. This is the main reason why he was benched or played out of position in this season.
