They are just identified as 'emos' by the people in Iraq, basically those who wear dark clothing, dye their hair black, maybe black nail varnish etc. That doesn't mean they have a philosophy the same as first world kids with western problems, could just be the style and music they listen to.

I know in the west at least it is becoming more and more common to see kids have that kind of look, it has become quite mainstream.
