I see no future for him at Juventus. I feel it's more of a mental issue, than anything physical. He strikes me as someone who isn't willing to work hard, to make the necessary sacrifices. I want to see him given an opportunity, but I don't see him ever becoming a starter, as he simply isn't good enough; he never has been. The fact that the eternally mediocre Pepe is keeping him out speaks volumes.

No one knows if he doesn't work hard enough :sergio:

It looks more like that conte has faith in his starting eleven.

I want him to leave to he doesn't deserve to be threatening this way.

Conte is just too arrogant to play him. His ego just won't let him do it. He should think about what's best for the team. And if Elia can help, then he should be played.
I wouldn't say its an ego thing, probably just doesn't rate him.

which may suggest that him and Marotta are not the on the same page, since Marotta has been chasing EE since last season.

thats a bit puzzling though, surely the current krasic is no better. hmm.
It doesn't matter because Krasic plays on the right and is a sub for Pepe. Elia, playing on the left side, would be a sub for Vucinic. But Giac and Esti also play on the left so when Conte is picking a bencher to potentially replace Vucinic during a match, he has a choice between Giac, Esti and Elia. It's Esti and Giac that Elia has to beat in order to get a place on the bench. Elia is right footed, but from what I've seen he was always deployed on the left side and left wing is his position.

Too many meh wingers on this team. I hope that next season we will recall Gio, buy a quality RWF, stick with Vuci on the left, and have Pepe, and 2 from Esti, Elia, Giac, and Krasic as further backup/depth.

@ Alen: Is it possible to insert a fixed buyback clause when negotiating a co-ownership deal?!
