Of course he is stiff still...was his first game and the game turned on to be overly complicated all of a sudden... BUT
The pros:
-This guy seems to have skills on the ball at his feet....
-He is willing to go in 1v1 without fear and seems to have the skills to work with.
-He ALWAYS pressured the enemies when they had the ball, even when defending is definitely not his best asset, and ran a lot. This a must in conte´s Juve.
For his age and his first game at juventus,,, i just can give him credit for a positive mentality and workrate.
Also we need to take into account that he seems very confortably in playing with skilled players like del piero and marchisio. Players from last season m,ost of the time simply didnt understand how del piero plays and fucked up everything he tried to do. Elia seems to read the plays from this players wonderfully.
I liked the moment towards the end of the match when he was sprinting back and tackled the Bologna player, then turned to go attack again. He does that -> he plays.
This. If he does this game in game out... i would seriously consider him to contest pepe´s position.... because unlike pepe... elia seems to have innate dribbling skills and flair. If he can improve his marking and tackling..then hel yes why not?
Let the bro play!
