He can't be worse than Krasic.

While Pepe has worked his ass off and played well, he still can't beat his man to save his life and can't cross, nor shoot. We need someone who can beat his man, like Elia or Estigarribia.

Elia and Estigarribia should start next game as far as I am concerned.
I completely agree with you. Krasic has been piss poor... not saying he shouldn't play, however Krasic actually managed to start a few games, a played a big chunk of minutes respect to Elia... Sure, Krasic has Serie A experience, but with his poor form he is still managing to play a lot, as in comparison to Elia who has not even been tried out except for 45 minutes... has not been playing at all. Now of course, they both play in two different positions, but I'am aware Krasic can play on either flank, however the point I'm trying to make from Conte's use of line ups is... how can he play Krasic who has been struggling and yet not play Elia... not even a bit... What is it? Language barriers? Last I checked, the same excuse was used on Krasic as well, and yet he is playing.

Don't get me to begin with Pepe, Pepe I would agree did work very well, but once again his skill is just not good enough with his end product. Like you said, has failed in crossing, oppurtunites, mistakes in passing and etc... he is a headless chicken, who should be on the bench... however his work rate is something special, but at the end of the day, all we hope for is Krasic to come on over him. But speaking of Pepe, what about Giacherrini on the left wing, in that sense its the exact situation except Pepe works harder and Giach has some what more skill. Though, at the end of the day, none of them impress. Elia should be getting at least more playing time, and now with Giac being injured, the time for him to shine and play a bit more is now! The same implies for Esti. Both Krasic and Elia are suppost to be our starting wingers, not bench warmers.

Actually against Catania and yesterday against Chievo - Pepe had very decent shots. Especially from distance. His goals are well positioned, not like Krasic's which always are keeper blumpers.
If Krasic doesn't start playing better, we should ship him off in January.

As for Pepe, well the peasant may prove to be a useful squad player but he should get nowhere near the starting eleven once we'll have proper wingers(or if Elia/Estigarribia start playing).

I think Elia is now not even making the bench! That is shocking given that we paid EU8m for him. Its too early to make judgments just yet but there is a valuable lesson here.

If you can't get your first choice, second choice or 3rd choice option, give up and wait to get someone better in the next transfer campaign. Elia was always a gamble and he had attitude problems at his previous club. The fact that he doesn't make the squad i think is probaly a reflection of his performances in training. He only played briefly in 1 game so far (he was poor but hard to judge a guy based on that 1 showing).

To be truthful here, the only 1 winger that has really impressed this season is Giaccherini. There lies the irony. A kid who cost peanuts.

While Juve is equal top right now, I think we could have converted at least 1 of our three draws into a victory had we had a real threat down the wing - which is the fundamental basis of our attack.

He was not on the bench because he arrived late from the Dutch NT. I have no idea why Elia isnt playing.

Giaccherini didn't impress me at all, Bonera stopped him every time he wanted to do something in the Milan game and Bonera is one of the slowest players ever.

Pepe impressed me the most.

Seems Marotta is wrong & you are right.

It was bound to happen sooner or later.
“We gave him a five-year deal which means that his career path with Juventus will be very long,” he noted.

“We believe in him and we followed him for some time.

“You can’t expect a player to come in from abroad, land in a new environment and get positive results straight away.

“It’s clear that he has to find his own way of settling in.

“He was away on international duty for 10-15 days, so boss Antonio Conte made other decisions that were available to him at the weekend.

“As a result, I wouldn’t say that he was excluded from the Chievo game. The Coach just fielded the best players that were available to him.”
