Last night, the army attacked demonstrators who were calling for making the previous president to appear in front of courts, and killed two of them.

What do you think, Ahmad? I skimmed some Egyptian sites and found that many people now think the army has done a deal with Mubarak against the revolution.

Its all because of the clown in charge of the army, Tantawi. I still don't get why the hell the rebels spared his hypocryte ass after they kicked Mubarak. This guy was like his army puppy dog.

    Like the avatar btw.

the bolded parts i agree with def, last night was weird and not just in tahrir by the way but i could clearly hear gun fire and off course as usual u dont know who is responsible for this or where its coming from to be very honest. as for tahrir well the guys demonstrating def have a point bec now that its 2 month since mubarak stepped down there is an ever growing feeling that has'nt really faded that mubarak is still pretty much in charge of this country regardless of all the BS about his health. now i think the euphoria has left our bodies and now the logical thinking takes over and there were some points i think we just skipped when we should've really paid attention that the core of the issue was in his speeches.

1- before he left in one of his three speeches and if memory serves me right his final speech he made several references about it being stable now that he is in power and how we should wait and leave him in post until septmeber blah blah and that if he left it will be a shit hole like it is at the moment.

2- now according to a lot of legal experts if a leader is brought down thru civil demonstrations he has no right what so ever to transfer power to any council let a lone a military council.

these two points are of massive importance. now take into account last night, zamalek match, and the muslim/coptic issues and u have a pretty clear pattern of whats going on over here. now interneal security forces are heavily involved in coordination with ndp members who formed the inner circle of mubaraks regime i,e they r his men to the core and surprisingly the military council has left the main heads of ndp wonder around freely with no restrictions.

i have heard several eye witness encounters from people who were in the zamalek game and they all had the same story, the police officers had a signal and once this signal was made the poilce forces all collected and left the stadium, also it has to be said the metal fences where unlocked and open so there was nothing to stop them as they went out to attack every one not just the refree or tunisian team but literally scare people and cause chaos. you will soon realize why.

as for the point which JBF raises its very legit and i wholeheartdly agree, tantawi should'nt be in this council, put a side everything about him he simply cant be the representive of a regime people brought down its just insane!!!!! its very well known he is the most loyal member of the previous regime for a tiny fact mubarak made sure who ever controlled the army had very specific persona characteristics to make sure the military can never have a coup on power. i once again heard this in tantawi's own back yard during the demo's from the secirity forces who were guarding the entrance leading to his house which happened to be next to my families house and the soliders told me we ( the army) dont like him he is such and such and for then anan is the man the army really likes. this was made more concrete with recent video's being uploaded by soliders on youtube urging more soliders to stand with the people and bringing out everything regarding tantawi in particular about how he ruined the army, and how he made the army pretty neutral and not up on par with the idf and here this is the standard egypt is put againt for national security basis and its no secret idf will remain the egyptain armed forces rival even in peace its just like that and it sno secret either.

put all this in context and u will understand why yesterday went out of hand, its bec there were soliders in military clothes witht he people and this causes a lot of concern to the military council that the milirary ont he ground may be siding with the people and on the long run this could have a similar circumstances to whats happening in libya with one side with the people and the other against thats sth i think would be a massive nightmare and i hope never happens.

i personally think the military council is being purposely slow in making differences and honestly i dont think the rev has fulfilled any other objective other than bringing mubarak down and sending him to sharem el sheik the old guard is pretty much still in the game and f*** ezz, magrabie, etc the real giants in this country are safwat the most loyal dog in the regime, zakria azme, and off course the mubaraks pretty much. also the heads of city councils to this day are ndp!!!! thats very scary to be honest that they have not been replaced and a huge question mark on the military councils movements being snail like. no one knows whats next to be honest but the people are starting to loose patience now and the military council really needs to step up with things. as for agreement between military council and mubarak there is no doubt in my heart this is what happened bec he would never step down with out such an agreement if there was no deal he would be like ben ali.

Very well said abu 7meid. Just one point regarding the recent military personnel vids on the net, those people really seems worried on the revolution and its gains just like the ones who put their ranks on the line to support protesters in Tahrir square. That's why I stressed a week ago on how important it was for these voices to echo on Friday rather than the meaningless talk that became a habit out of late in all these custom Fridays. Those personnels are the ones who could prove to Egyptians above all how much they're deceived with the current state of things.

today Mubarak gave a voice recorded interview to al-arabyiaa tv channel, declaring his will to reveal his accounts and denying the existence of any cash or assets abroad   any way here is the speech he gave. as for my opinion i guess the comments under the video do a great job :D the only thing i want to comment about is how a very limited group of people are playing 82million egyptains as if they r retards!!! after two month of delaying he comes out off course with the military council giving him all the time he needs we can easily kiss the money good bye in all scenerios simply bec there are two cases and i heard this in person from some one who works in the supreme court that two scenerios exist regarding the money bit:

1- if the cash is abroad and if the numbers are to be believed the countries in which these investments are in will never give the money back simply bec a part of there economy uses these funds.

2- assets and cash found in egypt will go to banks bec they toke loans out of these banks before the rev started so realistically the people wont see the money as banks by law take over these assets. ( applies to the small fish like ezz, magrabie, etc etc)

i agree with u jbf, and actually this is what happened last friday they were there not in massive numbers but they were there. now look according to the vids ive seen and articles i read the military council says there were ndp members in with the people in military clothes and thats what caused the violence but is this true or not remains a mystery to me bec i dont know any one who was there during the clashes with the military.

now we r yet to see what will happen bec now the military council has objections about these weekly demonstrations!! and off course all the businesses facing tahrir square are not able to cope with these demo's. also i 'm very concerned about the reactions to the mubarak speech which plays sadly on the kindness of egyptain people so i'm frightened we might see freaks who say we want him back, or lets give up this right to put him on trial etc etc

I'll not be shocked if/when I see that and there will hardly be any "nice" people starting that, most likely fall for it but I bet Mubark's dogs are gonna stir that shit in the coming weeks if not days and that's when the state of the country will be on its most critical edge.

No way man, they wouldn't have let that slip without getting their share. Had they really been honorable as people thought they were, they would have started his interrogation once he stepped down and started the cash and bank accounts' count. BUT NOOOO, why rush when there's so much time to waste.

They gave him the time he needed to transfer that black money from banks that would be exposed in Europe to ones probably here in the ME or better yet South America. Now Egyptians will tare the world apart and find shit of their legit money.

I doubt he was jailed for simply criticizing the army. He must have unveiled some deep shit that is going on and those clowns in charge knew they can't handle that ATM.
