There are reports Chelsea scouts were in the stands last night, fuelling Edinson Cavani’s comments. “I don’t know if I’ll stay at Napoli.”

The striker found the net during Saturday’s 2-0 victory over Novara and was interviewed pitch side by Sky Sport Italia after the final whistle.

“Will I stay at Napoli even if we don’t qualify for the Champions League? I don’t know, the club will deal with this sort of thing. I am focused only on playing my football and winning every game.

“The club will think about the rest and they know what to do. For as long as I am at Napoli, I will continue to give my all for this team.”

According to today’s Corriere dello Sport newspaper, one of the reasons behind that comment was the Chelsea scout in the stands of the Stadio San Paolo.

Marek Hamsik has just extended his Napoli contract this week, but Cavani’s deal does not include a buy-out clause, so Roman Abramovich would have to splash the cash for as much as €60m.

Bye bye Cavani :D

Not only that Napoli will prefer to sell him abroad, but they'll also get more money from Chelsea, City, Spanish clubs or PSG. So will Cavani if he goes there.

Cavani must go to the Premiership, or else the universe will not be balanced. All great things must aspire too and become part of the this wonderful league, otherwise the Mayans will be right in their predictions.
