Nah. We were both wrong. I just checked again. £68 million or €80 mil euros.

And yet you keep forgetting we just signed a top young CM this summer who has been brilliant for us. There’s no reason to believe we won’t be looking to make a similar transfer again this coming summer. Especially when we shed some useless mids on big wages.

Top strikers cost money, especially ones who are 21 and score like Vlahovic, and can score from both inside and outside the box. His cost reflects that and fills the position for a decade possibly. It is a position of huge need.

Again. Maybe just stop being such a Debbie downer for a single day after this move. It wouldn’t be that hard. You’ll have plenty of time to shit on it later.
Agreed.

In fact, we're making these moves and transforming our squad during our worst financial position in a long time.

By end of next year, we will be in such a great place financially, it cannot be understated. The complete removal of several bad salaries on average players cannot be understated. Removing Rabiot/Ramsey/Sandro/Bernardeschi and their wages will be massive to our financial position. And yes, we still need to pay for Chiesa, Locatelli and now Vlahovic.

Shift into youth with Rovella, Fagioli, Ake, etc.

People who are saying we should plug other holes first lol. We literally haven’t had a proper #9 since Higuain and Mandzukic left. This was a MUST signing and we’ve set ourselves up for at least 5 years here.

We have very interesting young midfielders on our books already and I expect one (if not two) of them to be with us next season.

I like the player a lot and to pull this kind of deal off in January is masterpiece. The costs scare the shit out of me tbh, 75m and 7m net salary is a huge deal post-covid for Juve. There will be sales and pushing players out, that's for sure.

Grande Arrivabene for trolling us all tho xD

It seems impossible to me that Fagioli and Rovella will not be able to replace Ramsey and Rabiot for 1/10th of the cost. Just those swaps alone puts us in good shape.

Rovella, that is definitely the thought. Fagioli, I think less so as I believe management has less faith in him. I don't follow our primavera side and players enough to say for myself but I agree with your statement. The top 4 midfield spots should be quality players but the next 2-3 spots should be young players looking to prove themselves. It is the only sustainable model in this current age.

Same goes for forwards, same goes for defenders, same goes for backup keeper tbh. CB wages on our squad are out of control and Demiral was so cheap, I cannot believe he was allowed to be sold except for plusvalenza reasons. And Kean is too expensive for his value in terms of goals and production. I would rather Ake/Jorge get the chances.

ARRIVABENE: ‘JUVENTUS FANS CAN FORGET BIG JANUARY MOVES’

“If anyone is expecting some coup de theatre in January, they can forget it. This club has been hit hard by two years of COVID and we are focused on relaunch, reflecting and evaluating so we can then do what the economic situation allows us to do.”

Delighted with this signing.

But funny that once again the final price in the deal is worse than the rumour. I can't remember any deal where we have been on the better end of the rumour, whether buying or selling.

Big money but he is 21 and has been incredible for 2 seasons in a row in the division he'll be playing in every week.

Daniele prade said they wanted 70 million euros and we are paying if rumored numbers are true 75 million with less of a bonus component.Anyways this is history if we progress well in the champions League and reach champions League qualification it is worth the gamble.

Yeah, if we reach the quarters and more importantly, finish in the top 4, he’ll have already paid off his transfer fee.

This is the last ever Covid affected season IMO and I think the management counts on it too. Covid is over.

Totally worth the risk and a good bet given his history of success in Serie A.

Reminds me of the Higuain transfer, but this time we got a younger hungry bomber with really high potential, unike Higuain who was on the last years of his career. ( he was hungry but in a different sense lol)

It's hard to predict things but this could look ike a masterstroke in a few months if he performs 60% of his capabilites we saw at Fiorentina.

It's just too good of an opportunity of a transfer for me to sit here and be skeptical about it.

Locatelli. They kept saying Sass wanted more than 40 mil for him. Our bargaining for weeks knocked his price down to 25 + 12.5 in possible bonuses.
