My reading of this situation - he simply never wanted to leave the Premier League. They practically forced him onto the plane because of Aston Villa's financial problems. To convince him, Alisha Lehmann was included in the deal.

That said, I’m not defending him. His lack of professionalism is clear, and he should have handled things far better. At this point, we need to sell while he still has market value.

25m British pounds

So around 29m euro roughly, I that still a loss on the books?
Yeah, by like 7m lol

At that level of a loss, I feel like he should've just been kept and play his way out of his slump now that he's moved on from makeup girl with the thick ass.

He can't get any worse but can get a helluva lot better and increase his value.

Not quite the 35M we were hoping for, but at least someone took him off our hands. A loss was inevitable after last season and his antics. What really matters now is who we bring in with him finally off the books.

Funny thing is, Luiz will do well at Forest...
he probably will, he's a good player

it would be interesting to see how long it would take him to tell journos how his transfer to jj happened. i wouldn't be surprised if he all but confirmed that it was the villa owner and elkann who made a deal above his had and he had no choice but to pack his bags against his will

I have 0 doubts this guy will bitch about us once he's gone, perhaps not quite Felipe Melo or Dani Alves level but somewhere below that.

Is this even official? Last I saw from Romano it was only that a deal was close. The figure could still swing either way.

Considering DL barely played last season, selling him at all is already an accomplishment. I don’t see why people are shocked by the fee.
