Not sure about his general positioning, but the guy can cross a ball like no one else in our team.

Fantastic Technique.

Also a true story, nearly one third of our goals this season in Italy came from the last 2 games with him playing. Coincidence? :hustini:

He has to be benched

What a disgrace. Completely clueless out there, clearly.

5 accurate crosses. Sad number that.

Imagine if he didn't lose the ball countless times
Dybala also loses the ball plenty of times per match. That's the price you gotta pay for actually trying to make things happen instead of just passing it back to Sandro every time you get the ball.

Some people on here would probably play Mandzukic over Neymar on the LW because of his defensive workrate and safe passing.

This.

Pretty much all of it, actually.

Yeah, Mandzu is tough and Neymar is a sissy.

That doesn't change the fact that Neymar is much better at actually playing football.

I love Mandzu but this experiment of him on the left wing has ran its course.
like i said, try a different sport. if the only positive thing from Mandzos time as a left winger to you was his defensive contribution that is

I never said that his workfare was the only positive thing.

He does score and assist goals when playing on the left, but the fact is that we are very predictable whenever Mandzu plays on the wing. He's too limited to be a winger.

We need to play specialists instead of shoving round pegs in square holes.

first we hated the 352 because we played with 5 defenders lol
then we asked for players that can take men on...like, actually dribble past and taken defenders on...
but we play a defensive minded player because he apparently forgot how to be a striker...but play him in an offensive position to play defense...

...

then bench the players we have been asking for since the friggin 352 was born here.

its not only that he scores, assists and provides us defensive stability like few others could, there is more. Mandzukic holds onto the ball as good as anybody, provides aerial presence in the final 3rd which is quite important, especially against high pressing teams and especially now that Bonucci is gone. but most importantly, he has great chemistry with and is creating the necessary spacing to AS who is just, you know, our only fullback that can attack. when DC plays on the left, he and AS dont have nearly as good of an understanding as AS and Mario, and since they are both lefties, they actually have the same preferred area they attack. DC needs to play on the right where he can cross, carry the ball inside and shoot, make a through ball, create space for the fullback to run into etc. he should rotate with Cuadra (mostly come off the bench as the more offensive option of the two) while on the left it should be Mandzo and Pjaca (hopefully the injury didnt slow him down much). Berna should rotate with Dybala and Higuain in the middle, and start some games on the right when Cuadrado isnt available/needs a rest and we want to save DC for the 2nd half. with everyones characteristics, this is the best rotation

Even if Mandzu is a starter, we have so many options with Berna and Costa in the lineup. I really want Berna and Costa to switch flanks within a game. It'll be a nightmare for the opposition.
