Sheik sucks. His theories in this thread are really weak. Almost as weak as AndreaCristiano's. The two of them are having the worst conversations ever. This thread is the worst thread in the history of forum threads and it's only because of Sheik and AC. I hope there is hell and you both end up there.

Like ALC said, material desire is human nature. It's fulfilling their greed. People used to fight to acquire food, territory, armies, kingdoms, natural resources, etc. Wanting to acquire electronic products is simply one other commodity that is within the grasp of our greed. It's wrong to blame technology for that. Blame the human nature instead.

I asked you to define the spiritual world that you claimed deserves our attention. Your response was that others tried to define 'spirituality', and that their definitions was not satisfactory to me. And then you ask me to search it for myself. That is NOT a good definition. Try again.

You must be god considering how you know what choice I'll make regardless of a very important factor that goes into my decision-making: external influence(in this case, the revelation and answers of god).

I'll give you another chance: define the spiritual world you want me to believe.
I don't blame technology I'm saying that our current civilization chose the wrong path imo and in doing so I put the blame on humans and their greed, not technology. In every scripture you can see that greed isn't the way to go, and yet todays world it's the main driving force of our world, our whole economy is based on greed.

Look I'm not saying that everyone should go out and start to hunt for food with bare hands, I'm just trying to say that this one way technocratic society based on greed isn't the best way to go.

And about spirituaulity you are making a wrong assumption that I want you to believe in my world, because I don't. And as I said if I would say somehting nothing would change, we will just get back to the start of the whole spirituality, and I have no will or want to do that. Sorry if my answer is not enough, but I already got involved more then i wanted :)

Don't underestimate this thread. The conversations we have here is visible for all in the forum to see. Anyone who's sitting on the fence could go through the whole/part of the thread, and might find arguments that might lead them in one way or the other.
True, though it's not one sided as you proclaim, once I was a sure atheists here and all that discovery stardust thing. Not anymore though. I don't believe in religion, but i'm no atheist anymore thats for sure.

Hey Raz, would religion or spirituality ever achieve something as remarkable as this?

Run n tell that, homeboy!
Um.. ok, so what? I mean, what does that give to a human being? It's a trivial thing.

You keep insisting that civilization choose the wrong path, but you neither provide nor justify an alternate path. If the new path you're suggesting is "don't be greedy", then good luck convincing anyone of that. If holy scriptures cannot change that mentality, then what hope do you have?

Look I'm not saying that everyone should go out and start to hunt for food with bare hands, I'm just trying to say that this one way technocratic society based on greed isn't the best way to go.
IMO, our society is more economic than technocratic. What's affecting our lives and what governments are trying to combat right now is an economic crisis, not a technological crisis. So I don't buy your point about this "one way technocratic society".

And about spirituaulity you are making a wrong assumption that I want you to believe in my world, because I don't. YOU proposed a "spiritual world", not me. I'm only asking you for clarity because from what I've seen, the word 'spiritual' doesn't appear to have a proper definition. Also, if you're not willing to stand behind your proposals, then stop making them and wasting our time FFS!

Where did I claim it was one sided? I clearly mentioned "one way or the other". Are you blind?

Um.. ok, so what? I mean, what does that give to a human being? It's a trivial thing.
:wth: Did you even read the article? It's can save lives, man. IT CAN SAVE LIVES!!!

If you think that I'm wasting your time just don't reply to me or don't get into discusions with me, like I'm not going to discuss with you about these things because I see no point and have no need to waste my time.

And for being open minded and a good guy, you sure are calling a lot of people retards. Take a little chill pill.

Excellent cop-out. Bravo!

It's difficult to continue being a good guy in the face of such stupidity. Here's something that can save lives, and you call it "a trivial thing"? That's retarded.
