whatever that fat fuck is saying up there is almost as stupid as bill oreilly's contention and if you cant see it then the quality of the above reply would transcend irony to actually be indicative of what you stand for.

Yeah, I wouldn't call what NDG Tyson says stupid. He's spent his whole life researching the topics he speaks about and actually knows what he's saying. Not to mention he backs it up by facts. Does he not believe in God? No. Nothing stupid about that.

O'Reilly on the other hand says shit just to say it. Comparing the two of them is asinine.

You said what Tyson says is stupid shit and almost as stupid as O'Reilly. That's all I'm refuting. The shit he says is based by facts and science, unlike O'Reilly's.

I stand for banter? There are worse things to stand for....like the anti- Degrasse Tyson lobby, the catholic church, Wahabi Islam, the caste system, The British Monarchy etc. etc.

there is such a thing?? and all that you mentioned above genuflects to the master fo all ills that has nothing to do with religion: greed

so, X going on a rampage without providing one single argument. nice.
simply dealing in reciprocity here, that was a weak argument used as a retort to bill oreilly :howler: nothing further needs to be said

but the degrasse quote was in reference to one point, simply one point made by theists. It's not his be all end all argument for arguing against the existence of god, it's just a shot quote of him refuting one prominent argument for the existence of god. and it does it's job perfectly in that aspect, i don't see your beef with it.

like i said i dont know who this person is, so i can only comment on the quote. My beef with is it exists in teh first place as a response to bill oreilly, do you know how lame that is, and to make it even lamer quote itself doesnt have much substance, knowledge gap will keep shrinking oh really?

from an idealistic point of view i wholeheartedly agree that bill o'reilly shouldn't be worth the quote, but from a pragmatic point of view we have to accept the basis that a certain number of people (o'rly?) accept bill o'reilly's arguments as a basis for their beliefs. as lame as bill o'reilly is, the degrasse quote does a perfectly good job at debunking a pretty simple fallacy. it's nothing more than that.
