OK I can respect that. From a friend to another just look at how you approach it. Some might further their discussion with you and others on here if the rhetoric is toned down :)
I'll do that as long as you stop ignoring our criticism of faith. Also, I'd still like it if you addressed the 3 points I told you about earlier.
ALC is the one that said the rule was based on Islam, the burden of proof is on him not on me. But i'll play along nonetheless, and i'll repeat myself for the gazillionth time. Arab society has always been patriarchal, long before Islam was introduced to them. I recommend that you read about Arab customs, culture and society in general before Islam.
I shall take your advice into consideration.

Explain how thats a logical fallacy ? Its things like this that annoy people who are discussing with you
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/No_true_Scotsman

According to you, anyone who perverts faith for personal gains is not of true faith. Instead of addressing the issue of people of faith who use it for personal gains, you are modifying your definition of 'true faith' to exclude such people. And eventually, you can expand your definition so that people who have committed any wrong in the name of their faith is not of true faith. Thus the fallacy.

instead of defining it for him why dont you just ask him for his definition? you are more interested in trying to find fault than in learning

I already have in previous discussions. And he hasn't given me one. We've also touched upon some people having more faith than teh other. I asked him how you measure faith, and he didn't have an answer for that either.

I know this religious guy who won't eat fast food, or drink alcohol, because he must treat his body like a temple.

Fair dues to him, he sticks by his religion, unlike most fuckers who are religious but bang about 20 hookers before marriage.

Peoples faith is measured by their fruits that's when you know if the faith is perverted for their personal gain or not. Faith also isn't measured per se but if it was it would also be because of their fruits. Mother Theresa had much more faith than I because she lived it every minute

Very good point. People who profess with their mouths but not their hearts is not of God
