I don't get it though...are we on a team? #TeamGod or something?

I can't be on the same 'team' as you when one moment you might be saying something that I agree with followed by claiming Adam & Eve were the first people or your pal Linebreak who's saying all men are sinners.
All men are sinners - hang on, you as a Muslim don't sin?

I said enforced laws--not littering, downloading music, etc. You don't rob banks because you know you'd be punished. You (yes, AC, not necessarily YOU) fap to porn or have pre-marital sex time and time again because you don't really fear hell as much as jail--just kinda, you know, you'd rather believe in it and not take the chance, but you don't panic whole day after your fap. Seriously, why do you want to buy that nice car you were posting pics of. Would Jesus do that?

My point is: Believers (in general) want to believe, they keep saying it over and over, until they believe that they believe. But they don't subconsciously believe. If they did feel God, they would do things a lot differently. If God was actually visible over you, I bet you would stop thinking how much you hate that bitch in the office immediately.
I see exactly what you are saying and for the majority it will be a hard long road to salvation, the person who has faith and acts like its not pertanent to try and live a better life will be worse of than the one who didnt believe. "To the one which much is given much will be expected"

Cop out :p
Hehe honestly though, the believers I have been around commit no where near as much sin as non-believers or weak-believers.
But they still sin, even with God standing right over their shoulders. That's not much respect/fear/love.

It is precisely like Nostradamus. Your Quran didn't predict the expansion of the universe, you're reading the verse with 21th century scientific knowledge and you're getting from that verse specifically what you want.

Oh, and there is no evidence that the Quran was actually written by Muhammad.
The Qur'an is meant for all of time. It actually conforms to every standard a modern man would require out of a book that is claimed to be by God. So you're right, it is being read with 21st Century knowledge because it is only now that we understand it and it also stands as proof.

The belief is that the Qur'an was revealed to Prophet Muhammad, not written by him. Just wanted to clarify that.

I know it wasn't written by Muhammad, it's god's words.

You are just turning around the question saying it's just our interpertations, yet some of the leading scientists in those fields converted to Islam because of this or aknowledge it what i'm displaying is that how did 'a man' Muhammad, 1400 years ago come with a book, describing matters such as the solar system and the embryo, when there was no scientific resources, yet today we can see the clear relationship between what Muhammad described and what scientific equipment has unravelled? Worth considering, just keep an open mind.

Are you saying you never disobeyed your father with him standing over you?
Some atheists would tell God he's fake even if he was right before their very eyes. Arrogance is a sick disease that we all suffer from to some extent. From a religious viewpoint, the very reason the devil goes to Hell is due to arrogance, not lack of knowing the truth, because I tell you what, he knows the truth more than any of us (talking from a religious perspective here).

You may believe it and I have no problem with that.

Nevertheless, I stand on my interpretation of it.

100% accurate the devil was sent there because of his hubris and desire to be God and he definitely knows the truth he was once the greatest angel

Yes, and that was me being disrespectful. But if I knew he could send me to hell rather than whooping my ass, I certainly wouldn't have stung my little brother with a rubber band.
Yeah, that. Where babies are doomed for hell.
