Yes, and that was me being disrespectful. But if I knew he could send me to hell rather than whooping my ass, I certainly wouldn't have stung my little brother with a rubber band.
Yeah, that. Where babies are doomed for hell.
Babies are not doomed to hell and they never were that idiotic temporary teaching was not only against scriptural evidence but in complete err.

That' ok, I just advise to read more about it without any " préjugés"
For your information, I've read the Quran with a pretty open mind(when I was not really an atheist, more of an agnostic) and those claims of scientific revelation didn't impress me back then either.

By the way, if I remember correctly(I don't remember the verse), the Quran talks about the big crunch. Well, our current understanding of the universe indicates that the big crunch won't happen as our universe will continue expanding until heat death provokes its end.

Btw, if the devil was an angel and not a human--no free will--how did he disobey God? And why did God let him?
Well the issue here is with the belief that Angels dont have free will which many theological professors/church fathers do not believe. All of God's creations with any form of intellect have some kind of free will and being that Angels are primarily Intellect they probably have free will although they also have immense devotion

everyone who died before that was lying " asleep" for the gates of heaven were closed. PS this is a great discussion but we are way off topic. Start another thread im in!
Brother, you keep trying to get into religious polemics. Not the right thread for it.
There really is no need for another thread. We didn't just up and decide to believe in a God. It's through scripture that we believe in God and when you describe him and try to convince people of his existence you have to reference that scripture.

Saying "look how complex the universe is, there has to be an intelligent designer" isn't an argument that's going to sway anyones opinion. The atheists here refuse to believe in what you believe because they hear that you (not all but some) that earth was created 6,000 years ago, that a man who lived thousands of years ago is still alive and that we're all just supposed to wait for his mysterious return. It's that kind of stuff that has put people off from religion.

So, you really think I'm going off-topic? I think not.

But if you still insist, I'll just stop arguing rather opening another thread.

This is from catholic.org:

The Creator Himself is so powerful and glorious that He cannot be approached in person by human beings. He alone "hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto: whom no man hath seen, nor can see (1 Timothy 6:16). Angels do not have man's shortcomings, and can therefore act for God and represent Him when communicating with men and women. They bridge the huge gap between the holiness and perfection of God in heaven and the shortcomings of dying people on this planet.

Kinda contradictory.

The First Hierarchy;
The first Hierarchy includes angels that were or who are Seraphim, Cherubim and Thrones.
(It might be noted that Lucifer, Leviathan and Beelzebub as said to be the first three angels to fall.)

Second Hierarchy;
The second Hierarchy includes Powers, Dominions, and Principalities.

Does the big crunch mean la fin du monde ?

You read it yet you don't remember how the Universe will cease to exist?
