And not to mention, Mohammed never did this. There were no miracles. You just picked out one that doesn't necessarily help people in need. That miracle was to show he is the son of God. They were also out of wine at the time and had a lot of water :p

Well I guess with some people it's only a case of 'seeing is believing'...

I see the Bible (and all religious books tbh) as a movie inspired by a true story: sure, the people might have been real, but you know sure as hell that things did not really happen that way.

Same thing with the miracles, Moses splitting the red sea has been explained quite reasonably and most logically.

Hitchens was a very blunt, witty, inconsiderate, extremist. He wasnt a brilliant man. I never really had much respect for him. In any case, the guy passed away. Wishing ill upon him is a very petulent thing to do. It's interesting that religious people are okay with saying terrible things about other people when ur books preach the opposite.
What can i say, we're imperfect.

I just want to make something clear though(Even though i have done it a gazillion times), my problem with him isn't his mocking of religion or his religious/atheist beliefs in general.

No he didn't, he even said he couldn't perform miracles. Although, some muslims like to say that he tore the moon in half and put it back together to compare him to Jesus. Not that that would help people anyway like Jesus' miracles.

Look i'm as much of a religious person as you are, but you don't really expect people to take miracles written in the Qur'an or Bible as evidence of a certain religion being true, do you?

But does he have a brain? Have you really seen it?

Sorry man, none of those things should be taken at face value. There's no way God broke off enough fish and bread to feed hundreds of people, much less turn water into wine.
