Watched the act of killing and it didn't really click with me Maybe I will give it another go.
Saw that recently as well...thought it was an incredibly enlightening and interesting watch about what everyone is capable of. I also didnt find it as hard to watch as many people only the scene where the main man described decapitating someone in detail. that was some seriously disturbing shit.

anyway i just wanted to give this thread a bump as ive been watching loads of documentaries lately and would like to see some more recommendations.

The Gatekeepers - Wow! What a great documentary. I have huge respect for these men for their willingness to go public, especially Ami Ayalon.

 the last min sums the entire issue this documentary probes, as long as there is no middle ground and every side wants to get rid of the other there wont be an end to this dragging reel of sad events.
Yep.

What I liked was that these guys knew the real deal and in the end gave it to us raw...no bias...no political games...no agenda, etc. Pure reality.

The Death Of Yugoslavia.

Excellent stuff. I've always been fairly interested in what went wrong in the the country and how it broke up, and this is easily one of the best documentaries I've ever seen. It's almost 5 hours long, and somewhat old.But it's fantastic.Highly recommended.
Great documentary

Capitalism Is The Crisis.

A lot of documentaries that criticize Capitalism annoy me, such as the ones by Michael Moore for example. The content may be true, but the overly dramatic way it is presented just loses its value as far as I'm concerned.Capitalism Is The Crisis is enjoyable for exactly this reason. Covers the theme pretty well, without going the Michael Moore route of annoying conspiracy theory based dramatization.

Check out Let's Make Money. It's almost a little bit outdated already, think it was made in 2007 just before the crisis. Although it's interesting that it critizises a lot of the problems later leading to the crisis before it happend.

Have you seen, Yugoslavia the avoidable war?

The death of yugoslavia seems to be very anti Serb & then you look at yugoslavia the avoidable war which gives more insight on american & german involvement. I suppose it's a matter of perspective as to which one is better but you should definitely check it out.

It's the direction of the documentary, not my opinion. Did you even watch the documentary?
I watched that shit regulary, on nationalistic Serb tv(BN) in Bosnia, its hilarious. They are repeating it over and over again, hoping that Goebbels tactic of repating a lie 1000 times will become the truth.

Negation of genocide in Srebrenica etc etc, it garbage of the same group of people who supported and did the killings, its disgusting.
