i'm not sure. Sometimes i do, sometimes i don't. I think there is something but i dont know what It is. Like Vlatko said before it is almost impossible to believe in God when so many things have happened to you in one's life. If God is seeing that there is so much doubt and war in the world why doesnt he send someone or come down Himself, if he did that everyone would believe in Him. This way there is a lot of guessing work. If God is everywhere and can see everything, why do we need to go to Church? "quoted from Homer Simpson", but he has a point. If God really existed why would there be disabled people, homeless people, orphans, people getting killed daily. There are too many bad things happening all of the World for there to be a strong belief

I used to question, but there is no way there is a God with what is going on in Darfur and The Holocaust, and all the Terrorism.

It just makes me want to go back 50 billion years when 'he' was 'making the world' and say, "FUCK YOU!"

But don't you both think that if all people in this world had the same joy and pleasure all the time, the whole idea of creating them would be a gay one?? I mean if all the people enjoy their lives, and there are no signs that indicate the punishments they may get if they don't obey God, wouldn't punishments look like an imaginary thing??

With all due respect to Christians, I totally agree with you. I'm a Muslim, and despite what you may believe about it (seeing as there are plenty that misrepresent it), Islam itself (not talking about Muslims now) has always promoted the sciences and mathematics, etc. Simply because it's all seen as the creation and bounty of God. The Church, as far as I know, never urged people to research in these fields. Mainly because the Church saw Science as separate from religion (for instance we all know what happened to Galileo). While the early history of Islam promoted it, hence the works in astronomy, architecture, mathematics, etc. by Muslim scientists.



Each to his own mate. I think that you simply believing in God, is better than not believing in him at all. Though, if you seek more answers I would tell you to just pray. It's simple; you can use your own words, and it doesn't cost you money I firmly believe that you'll get a response (what ever that may be) some where down the line and from there you can make your decisions, what ever they may be.

The thing is, The Church did push for scientific research, but whenever that research contradicted catholicism it would be thrown away. But still, they wanted research for the same reason Islam did.

As for protestants, they allowed science to flourish.
