i think disliking people on basis of being of a different culture from you is just a mild form of racism.

just like the stares black people get in white areas of the south even now are just mild forms of apartheid or segregation.

The belief that race accounts for differences in human character or ability and that a particular race is superior to others.

I'm not saying I dislike people for who they are in terms of nationality, skin color, religion, but in terms of personality, intelligence, etc.

And you still didnt answer my question

Sth about racism: but a bit from history:
We had some classes, about history of political doctrines.
And speaking from historical point of view, doctrine of rasism was kinda "natural" : people always wanted to divide every society on better and worse citizens, superiors and inferiors.
They were doing that since always, but earlier that was about: nationality, property, descents, religion etc.
So after all those, they found out new reason, to divide people.

But that to long and boring topic to elaborate it more, about doctrins.

Every kind of "deviding" people is not racism, and it is natural to devide people, because we are not all the same, and we will never be.

For example economic classes of society: its something thats inevitable, as everone has their function in society, and of course those who do more responsible and demanding functions will be rewrded for all their work, educatiot, doctors, scientsits for example. We can not all be the same, but that does not mean we should act more worthy than others, because we're all human beings, and for me racism is just a sign of stupidity.

Exactly. I might not like someone thats black or asian and thats OK but only if I dislike them because of their personality, not their skin. If I dislike them only because they're black than thats racism.

I still think you're avoiding a real answer :(

And Vit did nothing to justify racism, nor do I think she agreed with you. She just said differences have alwes exoisted and will always exist.

Well, my point was, that rasism is nothing special in history of human's ideas.
And it has nothing to do with "we are not the same"
People are not the same, but they are equal, and most of doctrins said, that we are not equal.

btw: one of doctrins of rasism used the same what you just said: we are not the same ;)

So what? Its the same like with science. If it's used right it cant harm anyone, but if its used wrong...

We are not the same, and there is no point in saying we are. We are different by race, personality, height, weight, intelligence (we all know I'm on top there :p ;) ) and stuff like that, but the point of equality is that non of are differences can justify being treated differently, in a worse or better way.

Thanks Zlatan, you got me absolutely correct.

I didnt agree with you Lac.

I explained why racism become one of doctrins: cause of humans nature and will to see people as superior and inferior.

And who said that we are the same? Not me for sure.

I was talking about being equal, not different.

But I agree with part in bold - that's the point in all this ;)
