I was in disagreement with selling Diego, until he called himself a 'champion'.
He didn't. It was a bad translation.
Somewhere in this thread you have the original interview in Italian. He said "The Juve board didn't behave well with me and with champions like Camo and Trez". In English they translated it as "Juve board didn't behave well with champions like myself and Trezeguet".

It's good thing that we don't hear more from Diego and that, as it seems, it was all just an anger and disappointment, which follows such cases when people feel betrayed. Later they go on with their life.
Unless their name is Domenico Criscito.

Lets hope that Diego won't be doing the same as Criscito. He said what he had to say, we understand his disappointment and it should stay at that.

You use the word losely, Diego is far from great, he's a good player but to reach the great status it recquires a lot. That was the whole point in introducing Del Piero to the picture.
Del Piero is one of the symbols of Juventus , it is not fair to put his name next to Diego's in these kind of comparisons.

What I'm trying to say is that the skills, vision and potential that Diego possess makes him quite valuable. He was definitely giving this team another dimension but under Zac, Ferrara he didn't have an appropriate role.
At least it's how I see the things, regarding him as a great player.

And I am not underestimating his abilities just saying that "great" is a word that is much bigger than Diego, at least just yet. The comparison with Del Piero came in the picture becasue players like him are great so it was weird to say that Diego is great.

He could have said it 1000 times in those first 5 days. Those were the days when he was angry. After the initial anger passed by, I don't expect him to continue.
If he does then indeed he's a cry baby.
I don't know if he was angry or not, disappointed more likely I'd say. Which would be logical.

And I don't know if he's a cry baby, but personally I'm just not going to believe someone who completely changes his opinion/words every other day, as Diego has done. But that's just me.

As a player, he was (mostly) decent & hard working, nothing but respect there. But I don't know what to think of him after reading some quotes lately. Very odd, to say the least.

Who knows, I'd probably do the same if I know a player of my previous team has so much of influence on the Mang and Coach. They're all scared of him. :touched:
