Its not that, it's the unarguable pulling power that some people believe is eternally exclusive with the name.
Obviously this is true.
it's the same as when city wanted to buy Kaka from Milan and he refused. It's not just about money.

History can be a bigger pulling power

apparently not. Wolsburg are a BIG name & have more trophies in thier cabinet!
Ah, but people would say the same about City, would they, despite the fact that they have much more pulling power than us?
The same applies to Chelsea a few years back.

TuttoJuve.com - Diego leaves, Marotta collects 17 million

Wolfsburg has reached an agreement with Juventus for the transfer of Diego from the German team Juventus, but has yet to reach an understanding with the Brazilian. The German newspaper Bild wrote today. Wolfsburg will pay 17 million euros for the midfielder, against a demand of 18 million by Juve. Diego's father, who is also her agent, will arrive in Turin today to conclude the negotiations with the German club sull'ingaggio child, according to Bild. The Brazilian, his second season with Juventus, has already played for three years in Germany, Werder Bremen, from 2006 to 2009.

Cant believe this is true - :sergio:
Well, they say that Diego is a woman too. :D

I have a feeling we wont go after an attacker unless we sell 1 of the 4 we already have, but the money we will get from the Diego sale will go towards a new CM,

Most likely they will be Italian, they will come from Samp (if they get knocked out of the CL) or Fiorentina and it will be one of the dumbest moves in Juventus history
That would be very funny and sad at the same time

So what do you think? Was it the system that gave us what is interpreted as success before Ferrara came along, or was it a matter of having better players, a more fit Del Piero, and better managers?
A combination of factors most likely. But who of us really knows?

You can have success with every possible formation, just like you can fail with every possible formation.

But I do think that we never had the right players to play 4-3-1-2.
And even if you do have the right players, you'd need to make sure that the guy who plays as the trequartista is really special. And frankly, Diego is good, but he's nowhere near great.

Personally, I have always believed that when you just had a successful season (which we had, 2 in a row even), you shouldn't make drastic changes. You should focus on making small upgrades where necessary. We did the complete opposite & it backfired.

Exactly what I have been saying.

Thank you very much.
