I read somwhere they are just taking more precaution with muscular injuries this season due to last seasons constant problems. So he may not be that bad, they don't want to risk him in the smaller friendlies.
BTW, bremen are doing great this summer...after selling diego in a decent price, they bought a great player to replace him- marko marin from gladbach...
proven fantasista, only 20 years old. if he'll play in the WC, he'll be worth a lot next season
" Diego underwent a magnetic resonance imaging test and a CAT scan which showed no signs of any actual lesion and neither past lesions but general strain to the right femoral. The Brazilian will work separately for the whole week, including Saturday and Sunday and should be back in the group by next week. "

Confirming we won't see him against Villarreal, and most likely not in any game till the season starts. They won't rush him back.

The right femoral what? Their English translations really suck. I looked it up and he's been having problems with his quadriceps femoris apparently. Common problem for football players: I partially ruptured both my left and right quadricpes femoris. No fun.
I wanna see the new system tested more than once in a match situation with diego before the season gets underway. We are heavily relying on him and changed ourset up for him
